Had fika today in the town that God forgot at a really nice café, the interior is a bit bland but the fika gets 5, had a small sandwich on sour diugh bread with ham, cheese and some other stuff and a Budapest pastry that was so fresh I almost orgasmed at the first bite. Nattered with friend for about two hours, really nice.

Had a bit of a scare earlier. The consultant said the op would be finished at 3 o'clock so I should phone at 4.30 which I did. They said he was still in theatre. I had fifteen minutes to imagine the worst when DH phoned and said he was fine. Don't know what that was all about. Anyway, I've been to see him. He had a spinal anaesthetic so was conscious and chatting throughout. He's on morphine for the pain but all went well and he's pleased it's over.

Think I'll have a cuppa and go to bed, it's all been a bit exhausting. Night wenches.

Oh that’s good news Apricot! Remember DH phoning me after his knee op. He was talking nonsense and was quite giggly. I asked if they had a bar on the ward.

Hurrah for Ireland and Wales in the Rugby. for Scotland. The Ireland match soundslike a nail-biter at the end. I know nothing about the other match apart from the result.
Donc, les vacances. C’est still bloody froid (-19 je was told, et celuila est without the wind-chill factor). So much that le goggles got steamed up et then froze over en le inside. FFAS! Je could ne voir pas a bloody thing. Ce’st le excuse terrifique for falling over beaucoups de temps. Seriously, Je ne tombe pas so much, ever, or lost skis so often. Et typically c’est tout under a chair lift, Donc je have been providing l’amusement beaucoup for les autres skiers, et swearing beaucoup. Aussie, DH was carrying a bottle de l’eau, et it developed it’s own ice, despite being dans le inside coat pocket.
Je suis currently tucked up dans le bed avec DS asleep on moi. Literally, he has pinned down un leg et je am going nowhere, except le sleep. Still, at least I can type in peace now instead of having him peering at my screen…

Oh, also. Elks - everywhere. On posters, road names, shops names, Je snigger every time, et DH too, Especially when he bought le ^Randy Elk* beer
