DH's crap work issues continue this week with a 45 day consultation period and redundancies looming, due to twattish assest stripping new owners who have no idea what DH's team actually do - they've proposed reorganising the company back to the same structure that it was 7 years ago (FFS), and decimating the staffing levels.

I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed the FAF off. Safe to say, very very very much.

Meetings at DS1’s school went well. They’re very happy with his mocks results. Said we’re very proud of course, but it didn’t stop me dropping him in it re his more or less total lack of revision for his mocks and actual GCSEs and unwillingness to do anything about it. One meeting was with the HBF teacher. I behaved myself.

Then straight to exerciseclass - which particularly pleased DS1 that I went to school in my exercise clothes

I did the school run this morning, bit of a shock to the system. It's bloody freezing here. DH normally does Tuesday morning, but there are cold germs on the playground all waiting to leap onto him. If I get a cold I think I'll have to leave home.

Sorry to hear about MrHelen's work situation. This happened to DH. The company was taken over and the new owners wanted their men as directors so he was pushed out. It wasn't done nicely at all, they made life very difficult for him. Horrible time.

Sometimes I think that capitalism utterly sucks. The whole attitude of 'make as much money as possible and who cares who gets screwed over'.
