With accommodation allowance, living allowance, flights allowance and most likely a pay rise and promotion (he thinks).

He is going to a meeting tomorrow to negotiate his pay etc.

What do you think then? Should I go and lie on the beach for two years or not?

Beetrootccio · 26/04/2007 15:09

fresh fish - mmmmmm

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/04/2007 15:12

Well if you can fit Beetroot and her 4 in then I know that there'll be room for MrCSWS, dd and I .

How long is the flight, and tips on entertaining a boisterous toddler for that long please ?!

And congrats to your dh of course. Clever, clever man.

Oh and did I mention the sloe gin???

Londonmamma · 26/04/2007 16:13

Honeymooned there, fantastic place. I do remember talking to a Brit who'd moved there with her DH and she was moaning about there not being seasons and that she missed her local butcher's!!! Some folk will find anything to moan about. If you can, go!!! If you can't, can one of us go instead?

anorak · 26/04/2007 17:18

Hahaha kimi LMAO

One thing I will love is the fact that I won't have room to pack my cake tins, sewing machine, wine-making equipment, craft stuff, or building tools. I know how to do so many things and people expect me to do them all or they get offended etc etc...it's all going to stop, and I feel like a weight is being lifted off me.

But the other thing is that I will have to get rid of my stocks of home made wine and liqueurs before I go, so...

Now Anorak, as I love you to bits I will willing look after your things for you.
I can't promise that you will get back as much alcohol as you leave with me but I will do my best

You know we always appreciate everything you do for us, and I hope we have never made you feel put upon.

anorak · 26/04/2007 18:01

Not you kimi. Not you. Catch my drift?

This is really brilliant Anorak - I am very happy for you - you deserve something fabulous to happen!

filthymindedvixen · 26/04/2007 18:13

anorak, my friend stopped there once when she was travelling, and ended up marrying a Bemudian and living there for years! Would you like me to ask her if you could email her for the lowdown? She's a top bird (though not a mother...)

anorak · 26/04/2007 18:19

Oh, thanks FMV but I have a friend who used to live there who has told me lots of stuff.

And DH's company are good with info too. He has contact with the guys over there and also his prospective new boss came over this week and took us out to dinner. Also DH went there for 10 days recently and they are going to fly us all out for a few days' visit so we can see for ourselves.

god I'm lucky, I just can't believe it. I feel like I'm dreaming all this.

anorak · 26/04/2007 18:21
