Had a nightmare night with ds2....waking up all the time. Its also the anniversary of my grandads death today, so feeling a bit down cos of that anyway. Its taken me all day just to do the washing and see to the kids.....I finally get ds2 to sleep so I decide to put another load of washing on and jump in the shower (at 3.30pm!!)....as soon as I get in, ds2 wakes up screaming, so i stumble out, twist my ankle and hobble to go get him.......scare the life out of him as I realise I still have a mountain of shampoo in my hair.....and I also have a mountain of ironing to do now as well. Ds2 has been crying all night and day cos the paediatrician split the end of his willy yesterday trying to work out if he needed circumcising. Its really sore and bleeding a little bit. Poor love. And he is teething as well to make it worse!! dd is tired and grumpy and ds1 is bored already and its only the first week of the holidays. DH has just rung........he is working til late. Just what I need!! All this chaos on my own! oh im fed up fed up fed up!!!

Ouch.

Thomcat · 20/07/2004 17:45

Oh mate, that is a rubbish day. Well hopefully all kids will fall asleep exhausted tonight. Have you got a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge? If not whilke kids are awake get them out of house, get out and get at least one bottle in, but I advise 2, and a bag of maltesers. i find you can eat a whole bag and still not feel sick.
Hope tomorrow is a better day.

lonelymumof3 · 20/07/2004 17:48

poor you! I dont know if your day or not being able to chill with a bottle of wine is worse! Can´t the young 1´s play with each other for a while? Maybe just for half an hour so you can catch your breath?

gothicmama · 20/07/2004 17:57

chill babe - think of something nice that's happenning soon.

Thomcat · 20/07/2004 17:58

OMG, now I feel REALLY sorry for you. You can't enjoy a chilled glass of crisp dry wine, bloody hell !! Well I hope you like vodka, or something and I hope you have a large glass of whatever it is. You must definatley eat chocolate and if you can bear it maybe even a sneaky fag in the back garden, I love one menthol fag a night with my first glass of wine !!!!

lonelymumof3 · 20/07/2004 18:05

i can drink vodka fine.....i had a bottle for christmas actually.....wonder where it is? i dont smoke either...boring really arent i?!?

Nickinha · 20/07/2004 18:22

Dont you have ANYONE who could help you out???
Leave the washing/ironing/cleaning dammit! Sit back, relax and enjoy your kids... laugh play and mess with them, when DH gets home, you pour a vodka and clean up together while chatting about your day.

Nickinha · 20/07/2004 18:25

You are not a superhuman!!! If you over exert yourself and have a breakdown - you wont be helping anyone! Take a step back! Slow down, you are not a slave, you are a mom - enjoy it! Surely this causes stress in your marriage cause u are worked up when DH gets home, and the kids have a nervous wreck for a mom cause you cant do everything and it obviously works on you!!! It´s not worth it honey!!!

zebra · 20/07/2004 18:47

The weeing on sofa part is icing on the cake... hope U can find it funny, later.

gothicmama · 20/07/2004 18:58

If this makes you feel any better teh dog has just eaten DS's brand new passport (arrived whilst I was out)2 weeks before we're planning to go away. And I don't fancy our chances of geting a new one in time.
Dog is wisley hiding from me. I am looking at a bloody great big G&T!

hope you manage to catch up on sleep later - any chance you could stick them in fron of a video for half an hour so at least you could put your feet up?

lonelymumof3 · 21/07/2004 09:04

lonelymumof3 · 21/07/2004 11:34

oh i want to cry....stuck here, kids are bored, nowhere to go......kids are fighting and baby is crying lots....I can't keep the kids occupied, and we are all fed up. DH is working late again. Need to go shopping but have to drag 3 kids on a train and a bus to get to shop 11 miles away and it will take me over an hour to get there, so frozen stuff will be thawed by the time i get back. Its raining as well. fed up fed up
