VIntage Rolls, cream with cream leather seats.I remember there were polo mints in the arm rest 'hidey holes'! It also had the registration RLR 2** which I remember the bloke who took the wedding video said stood for Really Large Rolls!

Well we had booked a lovely old cream car (not sure what it was) but it was old fashioned, it broke down taking the bridesmaids and my mum to the church, so they had to walk and in a panic mum flagged down a car and told them to go and get the bride. So I went to church in a Mark 2 Red Ford Escort.

paulaplumpbottom · 15/03/2007 20:16

I got dressed at the castle which had a gorgeous room for the brides to dress in so I went their early by taxi, he didn't charge me which i've always thought was sweet !

I had a car - a Jaguar. My cousin had a very cool car for her wedding - a yellow Skoda pick-up. She and her dh stood in the back waving on their way to the reception. Like the Pope.

LadyTophamHatt · 15/03/2007 20:20

Our F reg Fiat Uno....it was white though

fannyannie · 15/03/2007 20:21

I had a Mark 9 Jaguar - had the use of it for the entire day and didn't cost me a penny

this one to be precise - and that man is the owner/driver of it (and I helped to restore it from a rusty wreck too )

Hulababy · 15/03/2007 20:24

For our blessing our friend drove us. He used a big car from the garage he was a sales manager for. His mum did the flowers for it. Looked great and was lovely to have such a close friend driving us.

funkimummy · 15/03/2007 20:24

A metallic sky blue Bentley with cream leather interior. Happened to belong to a friend of my Dad's, so it didn't cost us a penny. Yippeeee!!

fannyannie · 15/03/2007 20:25

mind you disaster nearly struck about 3 weeks before the wedding - he went straight through a 10ft high metal security gate and scratched/dented the entire front of it.......nearly had to use a \link{http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k12/Gwenick/?action=view&current=S6000033.jpg/Pink Cadilac} or even worse the Blue Citreon 2CV LOL.

fannyannie · 15/03/2007 20:27

Pink Cadilac try again

CristinaTheAstonishing · 15/03/2007 20:29

We took the bus from Chapeltown in Leeds to the registry office. On the way back we walked to get to the pub (I think, I can't remember). Only it was too early and had to hang around till they opened at 11. Not terribly organised. Later that day we went by train to Scarborough for 3 days' honeymoon. Three months later we had a church wedding and I went in a car, probably a Dacia, can't remember, 13 years is a long time. Then a month on the Black Sea coast.

Surfermum · 15/03/2007 20:30

We left the church in a red and yellow one of these . It wasn't on water, it was being towed behind a landrover.

gobshite · 15/03/2007 20:31

my brother's VW golf, two years old and red. Very clean and shiny though

hatwoman · 15/03/2007 20:47

bus - but that's kind of a cheat because I got ready at the venue. dh and his best man drove to teh venue in the best man's convertible talbot samba - a complete joke of a car like this . it was in such bad nick that the police once stopped him because of "the general state of your car sir". it's also a bit of a cheat though. as they ditched the car near to the venue (which you couldn't really drive to anyway) and walked the last bit.

A horse and carriage to take dad and me to the church and an Alvis to take husband and me to the reception

WestCountryLass · 15/03/2007 21:14

Hehehe Mrs Badger

The elephant was good fun but it was difficult to mount it in a lady like fashion in my wedding dress and DH nearly fell off the back when it stood up
