i was just wondering is it the eating of the sausage roll that is bad or the eating in the buggy that is bad? would it be ok to give ds organic carrot sticks in his buggy?

Feeding DS in buggy = quiet peaceful life where I can get done what I need to.

Not feeding DS in buggy = incredibly winghy DS with whom I give up and go home.

Its not usually sausage rolls but I can't say I never have.

deaconblue · 13/03/2007 19:17

And I'm sure I will too at some point. Have done that many U turns since having ds

nappyaddict · 13/03/2007 20:02

so what about eating in the supermarket shoppingbags?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 13/03/2007 20:05

or sitting down on a bench in the street or park to eat?

or eating an ice cream cone in the shopping centre.

what about drinks?

i am curious to this as i must say i am guilty of eating a sandwich whilst waiting for the train or bus most weeks.

Yum, I LOVE sausage rolls. DD1 and I have one every Monday on the way home from playgroup. We both love them, esp warm.
It's our treat and TBH it is a bribe I use to get her to leave the playgroup without a HUGE tantrum when it's time to put her coat on.

I am just the worst mum

BandofMothers · 13/03/2007 20:13

Of course dd2 is in the pushchair now. So dd1 is walking. Does that count??????

CODalmighty · 13/03/2007 20:14

my kdis ga have eaten int he pram
dont egnerally liek eating whielst walking
ditto peopel smokign

Heathcliffscathy · 13/03/2007 20:23

sorry but mothers whose babies drink coke out of bottles do NOT want to talk to me....my accent and my clothes and the way I am with my child would (and have) absolutely ruled me out as someone they would want to fraternise with.

so that is bolleaux and just as judgemental imho.

CODalmighty · 13/03/2007 20:40

pmsl at fish face's brashness!

it may have been you nappyaddict, but whoever it was, i am in the same boat and totally agree.

people think im a loon wearing ds2 in the supermarket.
when he was brand spanking new and totally cocooned against me one day some bloke piped up and told me we 'were not in africa'!

nappyaddict · 13/03/2007 21:36

LOTF do you have msn? i'd quite like to chat to you, you sound like my cup of tea!

I wouldn't eat walking along anywhere. Buy an ice cream, sit on a bench and enjoy it, don't walk along with it. Same reason ds isn't allowed to crawl around with a bread stick in his mitt. sorry if that makes me weird, seems good manners to me...

nappyaddict · 13/03/2007 22:59

i'm the same, but i would sit on a bench in the street and eat a sandwich, which is still eating in the street.

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 13/03/2007 23:00

would you have a sip of a drink walking along though?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 13/03/2007 23:01

LadyOfTheFlowers · 13/03/2007 23:05

custy! we got booted! lol

deaconblue · 14/03/2007 08:21

I think I meant walking with food rather than in the street. V tired lately. If ds was hungry I would go and find somewhere to sit and would give him a snack in his buggy, just wouldn't walk along while he ate IYKWIM

zippitippitoes · 14/03/2007 08:26

I think it is just a joke like people who buy boden etc

a boring over used joke though

MrsMills · 14/03/2007 08:42

I adore Greggs sausage rolls, I think about them more than I should and always have one when I go back to England. Their pasties are to die for too.

Lovecat · 14/03/2007 10:29

God, I wish dd would eat a Greggs sausage roll! I'd like her to expand her culinary horizons beyond the five or six things she will deign to eat (if the wind's in the right direction and the omens are propitious, that is)...

I've fed her those Organix carrot sticks before and peeps have looked at me in horror like 'why are you giving your baby cheesy wotsits?'!

KathyMCMLXXII · 14/03/2007 10:37

I think if you were hung over a Greggs sausage roll would really hit the spot.
