I hate saturdays too, dh has a film on and I keep thinking of 101 other things I could be doing!

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:36

ooh exciting ledg who needs Ibiza? Choc mum def place to go with girls!

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:38

When I used to go out every weekend especially when I was single and childless. I liked the anticipation and getting ready part almost as much as the night out itself. I'd have a long bath. then get ready in my bedroom either listening to music or tv in the background it used to take me ages to get ready. Since having kids I can be ready in 10 minutes! how things change!

fireflyfairy2 · 10/03/2007 21:39

Dh tidying kitchen & kids asleep

Best Saturday night?? That would have to be the night that DH threw me over his shoulder & carted me out of the club we were in as I was too drunk to stand

I then threw up on his lap on the way home

chocolatemummy · 10/03/2007 21:42

yeah Ibiza good to go with girlies but none of our other halves would let us now would they!

I went to a Butlins 90's weekend last year with a couple of girls and suprisingly that was fab, a real good laugh.

socking my way through a galaxy promises, so easy to eat. wouldnt wanna go on any ibizan beaches with my current figure!

chocolatemummy · 10/03/2007 21:44

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:46

Sat night on the net sad no! Just think how good we will feel tomorrow no hangover !

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:46

I'm really sad now just went back to the beautiful songs thread and listened to the abba one.

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:48

Which one abba song?

chocolatemummy · 10/03/2007 21:48

I have to admit that MN has been a lifesaver for me over last couple of years on and off. sad or not. guess we may be tied down to married parenthood but better that than still out of the pull trying to find Mr Right

Hi there. This is my Saturday night as well.... I am half wathching the Real v Barc game with my 15 year old and wondering why my wife is reading about someone elses life. Instead of you all sat there moaning about the quality of life you enjoy why dont you do something about it rather than sitting on a pc or laptop and talk to your spouse or partner. Blimey - is this the society we have become??

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:51

link on this thread: slipping through my fingers

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:52

erm could it be because you are watching the football?

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:53

o.k birdsong am packed up and looking for easyjet flights to Ibiza have to say DP is looking somewhat worried!

chocolatemummy · 10/03/2007 21:54

and as I explained earlier i'm on here because my partener is fast asleep on the couch which is hardly condusive to exhilarating conversation.

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:54

*partner

expatinscotland · 10/03/2007 21:55

DH is out with his mates. He deserves a bit of a break.

birdsong · 10/03/2007 21:56

I have a 15 year old to attend to as well - my wife is happy on MN for getting info - just wondered why you lot are moaning so much about your quality of life. Where can I get some enjoyment about men moaning about how hard they work, how tire they are, how misunderstood they might be. You lot should get out more!!!

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:56

Yep two DC'S later and he still has hang up about his parent smarriage!

expatinscotland · 10/03/2007 21:56

Nah, I'd rather spend the money on shoes, birdsong.

LilyLoo · 10/03/2007 21:57

Birdsong i been out all day thanks at a kids party after working all week !

ledodgy · 10/03/2007 21:59

I'm not moaning about my quality of life just the poor quality of this particular Saturday night! I was out last night with friends and it was very nice thank you.

chocolatemummy · 10/03/2007 21:59

Birdsong-this is first time I have been on here for almost three months. I work full time and have a three year old, my husband is out of work at the moment-trying his best not to be!
I think it is petty normal to remeniss about being young and free and able to experiment wth life and how it feels when it comes to an abrupt end because you have little people-mortgages-spouses and society expecting you to stand still and tow the line
