Title explains it all really. DH was accepted into the police force, just had to have a drugs test as routine and has received a letter today saying he failed and they will no longer accept him. He cannot get in touch with anybody about it.

Believe me, he does not take drugs. He's a tee-total non-smoker and has never taken anything. There is no way.

It was a hair test, he was wearing hair gel and had probably taken paracetamol or nurofen in the month previous to being tested.

Any ideas?

What do we do?

I know we need to find out what he tested positive for, but this can't be happening and he is panicking/upset/devastated.

6 weeks to D-Day. And I really should not be jigging.

Not least because I'm rhythmically challenged.

The engaged baby is secondary to my rhythmic incapabilities, but I care not...

Hooray!! - been watching this. Good on you for sticking to your guns.

fannyannie · 30/03/2007 17:01

no I wouldn't recommend jigging that close to D-Day..........I learned that lesson with DS2 - though thankfully not quite as many weeks away as you are.

8 days before EDD with DS2 England won the Rugby World Cup........DH and I were watching it on the sofa and when Johnny kicked that drop goal in the dying seconds of the match we both jumped and leapt around the living room.............the following day my waters broke LOL.

oh soh am so pleased for you xxx

ShowOfHands · 30/03/2007 18:26

Thanks all. I have stopped jigging long enough to sit down and grin like an idiot.

It's a great diet though . DH has lost nearly a stone through worry and I don't think he has slept for more than a few hours a night since the original accusation.

It's horrible to think that this can happen so easily- and believe me DH is the last person you could suspect of smoking cannabis. We're just relieved that it has all turned out okay, but they have only been testing hair since January- I can only guess at how many people are going to have to go through the same thing before they sort this out.

What a relief. We're going out for dinner tomorrow and I'm even going to take him to the cinema to watch some barbaric effort that he's had his eye on for a while.

Thanks again all!

Big cheesy

Yes thanks meggle, fine after the accident- had a very sore shoulder for a while but it's all better. Hope you and your little DS are still enjoying lots of snuggles!
