I managed to get the cat off it, and saw it was still alive and not hurt, but I think its in shock. I have put it in a cage, with water and food, what else can I do

I would've done the same as you Mieow! Good on you!

I'd take it to the end of the garden and let it go, but don't let the cat see you.... or he'll go after it again.

Fio2 · 28/06/2004 14:51

To be honest, there's not much to be done if he's in shock.. However if he survives the night you can ring the RSPCA or free him in open area (Your neighbours are not going to love you but they don't need to know )

Well, if he feels fine sooner than tomorrow he will feel better sleeping under the stars (ohhh)

suedonim · 28/06/2004 15:51

Keep the cat in while you put the mouse out, asap!

Toothache · 28/06/2004 15:52

Mieow - I think you should let it go now. It's probably more terrified of you and the cage than it is of the cat now!

mieow · 28/06/2004 16:40

Its still just laying there, its alive but I don't think it will make it, I'm going to put it outside now and hope its ok.

Kindest thing would be to kill it I'm afraid, it's only suffering. Probably had a heart attack. Has your cat got a bell on it's collar?
