Next doors builders are doing my head in today. They're drilling into concrete, it's like being at the dentist, my teeth are scared. Anytime the drill stops you can hear the shouting, swearing & football style chants.

I might have to meet you at the cafe for lunch! 😊

Parcel's just arrived, it's the Candy's Hugs wool I bought online. Can start knitting now, so excited [knitting needles emoji]

Am useless with needles but the colours are just glorious, and I'm very happy just making the plain squares to fill in the spaces between the amazingly beautiful ones that the rest of you produce.

I've never met you IRL Zombie, but you've touched my heart during your long journey, as you have touched so many others. Each stitch will be made with love for you, for everyone else who has shared their story on these threads, and also now for my DD's DMIL who suddenly lost her stalwart battle with the bastard cancer on Thursday. Proud to have called her my friend for the short year that I knew her.

Cozietosies it's that shouty, chanty thing that generally pissed blokes do...and all that 'Get in there mate', 'wotcha fucking doin' tonight' 'Wayyyyyy', mixed in with general shouting, bouts of singing (very badly) to the radio and just generally arsing around. One is currently making pirate noises.

Credit where credit's due, they do seem to be working at the same time.

All going well, it's only another 12 weeks.

Hope you're pain free and comfortable today zombie. Will be raising a glass to you later not the bottle thanks to fucking antibiotics

Yes Lynnm the Severn hospice is the one that Zombie is in, and you can use her real name, though a lot of people are using Zombie it seems.

I think we've all put some combination of 'Zombie / Candy', with the 'who from bit' as being some variation on Zombie's Phalanx.

^ How very very beautiful Squat and I'm sorry for your DD's loss I shall think of you making a stitch or 2 for my mum, as whilst it's fair to say we didn't have the best of relationships, it's equally fair to say that losing her - and specifically some of the utter horrors of she needlessly endured towards the end of her path - was v v hard.

Am hoping Zombie is resting peacefully and floating painlessly in a sea of morphine
