Goingtobeawesome · 25/01/2017 09:52

Good morning Zombie, good morning everyone.

Woof from my puppy who is six months old today.

I haven't lit a candle as I'm very accident prone but I'm with you all in spirit.

Susiesoap7 · 25/01/2017 09:53

Thinking of you too chewing 🌺🌺

PotOfYoghurt · 25/01/2017 09:53

It's actually bed time here so I'll say goodnight as well.

Goodnight Zombie.

Goodnight Phalanx.

I'll see you all later!

acatcalledjohn · 25/01/2017 10:05

SevenTillFour I shall join you and raise a tea in Bracknell on this rather slippery morning.

Hope you had a peaceful night Zombie.

BathshebaDarkstone · 25/01/2017 10:10

It might work then, yes please Fatty with a spoonful of sugar in it, otherwise, as someone once said on MN, it's the devil's piss.

steppemum · 25/01/2017 10:12

When I saw
GOOD MOOOOOORNING MISSSUS ZOMBIE

I read it in the style of Robin Williams and Good Mornign Vietnam!

Didn't relaise till Catz posted that the virtual candles were on a website page.
I want to post one, but can't work out how, it says click on an unlit candle, but there aren't any?

That photo is lovely, I have posted for many years on Zombie threads, but somehow never seen a pic. Beautiful lady.

HerRoyalFattyness · 25/01/2017 10:17

There you are

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 25/01/2017 10:19

Have lit a new candle today in my favourite holder, not sure if you can make it out but it's a tree with many, many branches. I like that.

BathshebaDarkstone · 25/01/2017 10:20

Lovely, thanks Fatty Grin

SevenTillFour · 25/01/2017 10:36

acatcalledjohn Grin ... ah, so it wasn't only me, then?

MrsNutella · 25/01/2017 10:46

I have shared this before and I think it will fit well with the Phalanx.

In order to combine a beautiful flame and alcoholic beverage i bring you.... FEUERZANGENBOWLE

It's a German thing (AFAIK) and it's basically a kind of mulled wine with a sugar cone soaked in run and set alight above it. But it's really only good when it's very cold outside; even better when it's snowed. So drink up quick everyone!!

Zombie I hope you're having a good day and enjoyed the fresh air. Flowers

MrsNutella · 25/01/2017 10:46

Photo would help wouldn't it!

SevenTillFour

Nope, you're not. Grin

Squibbler · 25/01/2017 11:00

Mmm I will take one of those MrsNutella, thank you!

Morning all x

MalcolmTuckersOmniShambles · 25/01/2017 11:02

MrsNutella those look AWESOME!!! Yes please!

dailymaillazyjournos · 25/01/2017 11:03

Good Morning Zombie. Hope you slept well.
I'm wondering how I've been visiting family in Germany for over 30 years and never heard of MrsNutellas flaming beverage!!!! Why has no one told me about it and why is there only Gluhwein where I go? This sounds superior.

I hope it's sunny your way Zombie. Too early for alcohol here so toasting you with coffee and a restorative brownie after having a cystoscopy this morning. Was told to drink lots of water but caffeine is vital too.

Morning Zombie FlowersBrew

BiddyPop · 25/01/2017 11:20

Good morning Zombie and Good Morning Everyone else (phalanx or just lurkers!).

IT is a lovely sunny morning outside my office window, with some little fluffy clouds puttering along in the jet stream winds high up (but calm here on the ground).

When I included the words of Taps the other night (the Girl Guides song that we finish campfires with), it was because it is a lovely peaceful song that evokes, for me, the top of a mountain in Canada, and also my "special spot" when I am doing my yoga - sitting on the rocks, looking out west tot he Atlantic, watching the breakers curl and crash over, while the bright orange sky of a sunset lights it all (I take some artistic licence - merging a couple of lovely calm sunsets with the power of Atlantic storms) - but it is extremely evocative for me and Taps always brings me back to it too. I should have explained that the other night - that I wasn't being maudlin but thinking about a beautiful place.

Zombie, I hope that you are continuing to feel better, and that the hospice are doing their magic to sort you out.

steppemum · 25/01/2017 11:30

Mrs N - they look awesome - I want one!

I am North Wiltshire if anyone is close (squished between glos and oxon too)

Imnotaslimjim · 25/01/2017 12:20

You've been in my thoughts Zombie. I hope you had a peaceful and painfree night Flowers

It's wonderful to see so many people wishing you well. Take comfort in how loved you are

OfstedAintEverything · 25/01/2017 12:23

Taps is a beautiful song.

Hope things are calm and comfortable, Zombie. And that the lovely staff looking after you are kind, partial to a wee drinkie and appreciate your uniqueness.

IwasAM · 25/01/2017 12:31

Good morning, checking in from A&E whilst feeling like a total titBlush My plumber (having bathrooms replaced so this guy is now frankly part of the furniture) insisted on calling an ambulance & they in turn insisted on bringing me hereBlushBlushBlush

Am beyond mortified as seriously do not believe there is anything serious enough to warrant wasting NHS time with. Piss is also boiling as staggered at the sheer number of people here who are PATENTLY not in need of A&E attention😡 No wonder system bloody struggling (there is zero chance of my being here had aforementioned chain not occurred, I actually had a sodding GPs appt booked for this aft).

Anyway, I digress., so to more important things - how is Zombie doing today? Am on phone so struggling scroll back. Am sending fervent wishes that she is comfortable & pain free🙏✨
