Iklboo if you are hoing to Portobello Road you will have a blast although it's difficult to stay sober enough to think about what you may want to flavour your gin with.

Blistory · 24/01/2017 22:10

Just adding to the light and love that surrounds Zombie.

Jaagojaago · 24/01/2017 22:11

Have just parked myself in the bath with a naice G&T.

StumblyMonkey · 24/01/2017 22:15

I love the idea of zombie setting out in the middle of the night to help another MNetter...can someone tell us the story (in a non identifying way)?

What was the situation? What did Zombie find when she got there? What was the outcome?

I think there's going to be a peak in candle purchases in Surrey this week!

mamakoukla · 24/01/2017 22:18

(Lights a candle in Canada)

Latenightreader · 24/01/2017 22:19

Candle burning in Greater Manchester Lancashire. This vigil is a very moving and beautiful thing.

TheSquatLobster · 24/01/2017 22:19

Virtual candle lit for you Zombie, and a real one here, just outside Brighton.

Lighting up the room like your beautiful smile. Here, have more Wine

GenghisCalm · 24/01/2017 22:22

Zombie, you are such an inspiration to us all. I have lit a candle in Hertfordshire just for you. I hope that you are being updated with the comments and candles.

Fiderer · 24/01/2017 22:22

I agree latenightreader, I hope it's a comfort to zombie and her family and friends that we are all here with her in spirit. It's certainly warmed my heart to see people care so deeply. We are all lucky to have "known" zombie here on MN and I hope she knows that, like a zombie should, she will live forever here on mumsnet.

Wolfiefan · 24/01/2017 22:27

Well I think I've lit a virtual candle. Tech hates me today. Daren't light a real one or wolfie kitties and wolfie puppy will probably end up at the vet tonight. Naughty buggers!
Such love and thoughtfulness here. Up the phalanx.
Oh my. That did sound rude. We need a better slogan! Grin

Have just opened the gates to let the gin tanker in to provide enough rations for everyone.

I have been keeper of the DBF & Phalanx gin for sometime & there is enough for a double ration for everyone.

Drink up!

Welcome to the Phalanx - you post here once & you are not a lurker but a member.

What a smile - sending my love to Zombie & Zlad & Zlass.

MrSlant · 24/01/2017 22:32

Lighting a virtual fag here in West Wales (I'd have one myself but the thought of getting caught by a teenager is more trouble than it's worth) was just hoping you'd manage to get out for one, hope it was a good one.

I know I'm not keeper of the rations but gin to all in celebration of that smile.

GinAndSonic · 24/01/2017 22:32

I cant believe the gin tanker has arrived just as I need to go to bed! Can someone stash me a good glug or two in case I need it after the school run tomorrow? My kids have been playing up something rotten and I think a strong drink at 9:30am might sort me right out Grin

mineofuselessinformation · 24/01/2017 22:32

Zombie, I'm glad you had a better night (and hopefully day) today.
Keep going, my lovely, until you feel it's time to rest. Then, sleep peacefully, and may your sleep be full of the love that your friends and family have for you.
I'm having a fag and a drink for you just in case you can't have one for yourself. (Excuses, excuses!)
Rest well, my lovely. (Very un-traditional and un-mumsnetty hugs.)

MrSlant · 24/01/2017 22:33

Ah magimedi got here before me

AdoraBell · 24/01/2017 22:33

Been a lurker on zombie threads for a long time, dipping in and out but I just feel moved to post tonight. Lost my lovely brother in November to cancer, a short illness that didn't even allow him to have any treatment due to the the sites of the tumours and it has been so hard to deal with losing him. I have been very depressed but today I felt strength and thought if zombie can deal with what is happening to her with such courage then I can suck it up too and pushed myself to get a few things done, think my brother would approve. God bless, zombie x (hospices are wonderful places x)
