I remember several years ago a lady by the name of Valpolicella (sp??) gave us regular updates when Zombie was particularly unwell.

I can't promise not to weep a little, but there will be no wailing.

Having been lucky enough to meet the wonderful Candy, I can't help but shed the odd tear.

At my first meet up I was drinking wine, as opposed to my usual cask Ale, and when someone asked why I confessed it was because it's not very ladylike.

There was a stern 'Ahem' from behind me, where Zombie (resplendent in red of course) was sitting rolling a fag and sipping a pint of ale!

So I sacked the wine off and spent the rest of the evening getting pissed with one of the loveliest people it has ever been my pleasure to meet.

Hoping for a peaceful night for Candy, she has been such a pillar of strength to so many people. She has made a difference, and is already a MN legend.

It will be a for me.
