I have been reading Zombie's threads for a long time but unfortunately now find myself in a similar situation
You have been so positive and resilient and I hope you know what an inspiration you have been

Answering a question I think Z told us she would stop posting in the third person when she found that the cancer had returned after a period in remission.

She wanted to use the subsequent threads as a diary of her appointments, tests and medication.

She did continue to post in the third person on other threads.

Another delurking to raise a glass to Zombie. First joined MN (under my original account) back in 2010; she's been a MN institution as long as I can remember. Peace & love.

Does anyone know how long zombie has been here on MN? I've been here a longish time and she was already a legend.

I think, but may be wrong, it was around her first diagnosis - so approx 2010? Maybe earlier. I lurked in 2010 and posted non-stop from Nov 2010 onwards and she was "known" then - she was Stratters' side-kick on the Zombie Apocalypse threads IIRC. Zombie was her escape from the real stuff, she had another user name for Real Stuff™

Been lurking on these threads and just wanted to say thank you to Zombie for the fab advice for our holiday to Kos many years ago! Spot on. Witty and just right. Hoping Zombie is no longer in pain.
