JanH · 22/02/2007 21:04

Oh moo, hello darling, I knew I knew you

I've resisted Daving too, I wonder who I should be for a change?

tortoiseSHELL · 22/02/2007 21:04

I do Rhubarb.

tortoiseSHELL · 22/02/2007 21:06

scary isn't it califrau - ds1 was just turned 1 when I started, and he's leaping around on his bunk bed reading stories about buzz lightyear!

Rhubarb · 22/02/2007 21:07

Aargh! You do? Thought I'd kept it all very quiet tbh!

Califrau - my dd is the same age as yours then, I started MNting when she was around 4 or 5 months old.

BodkinVanHorn · 22/02/2007 21:07

Now that's something I've always wanted to know, Rhubarb. I know you and Custy are best mates so I wondered if you came here together (knew each other already) and picked complementary names - or if you got friendly on here then changed your names to suit.

Rhubarb · 22/02/2007 21:09

No, I was on here first and I persuaded her to come on. But she wasn't impressed by all the baby talk. Then one day I came across a thread about class issues, I linked it to her in an email, registered her and picked her name for her! The rest is history!

MrsDaveSpoon · 22/02/2007 21:09

GRMUM and Musica, I didn't realise you were both still here!

I remember jbr and RobinW, one of them had a thing for xylitol (RobinW?) or am I confused?

Ah, so now I know. Thank you

Rhubarb · 22/02/2007 21:11

See what you've done Lizzer! We've formed a clique!

BodkinVanHorn · 22/02/2007 21:13

JanH, be another alternative-to-Dave name - there are lots to choose from:

Too Many Daves by Dr Seuss

Did I ever tell you that Mrs. McCave
Had twenty-three sons, and she named them all Dave?
Well, she did. And that wasn't a smart thing to do.
You see, when she wants one, and calls out "Yoo-Hoo!
Come into the house, Dave!" she doesn't get one.
All twenty-three Daves of hers come on the run!

This makes things quite difficult at the McCaves'
As you can imagine, with so many Daves.
And often she wishes that, when they were born,
She had named one of them Bodkin Van Horn.
And one of them Hoos-Foos. And one of them Snimm.
And one of them Hot-Shot. And one Sunny Jim.
And one of them Shadrack. And one of them Blinkey.
And one of them Stuffy. And one of them Stinkey.
Another one Putt-Putt. Another one Moon Face.
Another one Marvin O'Gravel Balloon Face.
And one of them Ziggy. And one Soggy Muff.
One Buffalo Bill. And one Biffalo Buff.
And one of them Sneepy. And one Weepy Weed.
And one Paris Garters. And one Harris Tweed.
And one of them Sir Michael Carmichael Zutt.
And one of them Oliver Boliver Butt.
And one of them Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate . . . .
But she didn't do it. And now it's too late.

Don't be Soggy Muff though - it's not befitting of a MNer of your stature

Ah yes, I remember Tom! Is his website still going?

I thought he sounded fit but he probably wasn't.

Lizzer, is this the guy you wanted to buy a proper chef knife for? (gawd, the things you remember!)

Bugsy2 · 22/02/2007 21:22

Eulalia is still around, just less prolific these days I think. I still use her amazing money saving tips from time to time.
