They did a very good job of tidying up after themselves. Who knows what they will get up to next though? Why not join us and find out?

Hope you've had a restful & pain free night Zombie.

Congratulations Mort FlowersGrin

I've spent the morning doing DH's tax return. I had a bright idea last year for him to put each year's receipts into an envelope corresponding to that year, then put it in the business folder. You know, speed up the process (I we should have done it earlier I know but, you know, life & ship).

I get the envelope this morning to find he's stuffed all the receipts from April 2015 to last bleeding week in the same envelope. No order. All mixed together. I had to spend sodding ages separating them all out again Angry.

I'm not drinking at the moment either to kick start the diet so I can't even have a bloody gin tonight.

I got a grunted 'thanks' for my trouble. He can do it his fecking self this year.

AcrossthePond55 · 21/01/2017 14:42

Congratulations Unborn! Lovely baby news is always a day brightener!

Somer . You're a newly-wed. You should be Phalanxing all over the place instead of posting on this thread. But maybe you're just a good 'multi-tasker'.

Zombie hope you had a restful night.

Somerville · 21/01/2017 16:07

Eek - have I been doing phalanxing wrong all this time?! In this house it takes half an hour so there are another 16+ waking hours to fill..?!

Fids you have well and truly got your own back at me for the Cuban cigar. I'm not going to be able to ... phalanx... ever again without grinning about its new name.

Zombie I hope all is okay there. I'm off to a fundraiser for our local hospice tonight and will be thinking of you even more than usual. Flowers

UnbornMortificado · 21/01/2017 16:13

Half an hour Shock

startingtheengine · 21/01/2017 16:15

Iklboo I feel your pain; I have DH's to do this evening once DS is asleep. Every year we say we'll do it earlier and never do!. Fortunately I can have beer once finished.

Zombie hope you're feeling more comfortable.

Susiesoap7 · 21/01/2017 16:25

Somer You did make me Grin when things were fraught on a dull Thursday afternoon & I knew I'd see Mr CubanCigar & didn't know what the hell I was doing . Thank you for that.

So off you phalanx & many blessings on your personal phalanxing.

cozietoesie · 21/01/2017 20:20

Congratulations, Unborn. Smile

Mummylin · 21/01/2017 20:36

Zombie, I hope your second night of being looked after is having a positive effect for you. And maybe you have managed to eat something ? Let others do things for you for now, you deserve to be cared for. Flowers

ChippingInLovesWoollyHugs · 21/01/2017 21:02

💐Morti. Congratulations & the biggest & best wishes that it all goes well x

Somerville. Half an hour is fine!

For a quickie.

Do you two need instructions 😂

Bathsheba. I have a friend who goes on and on and on ccasionally mentions that if I didn't buy coffee 'out' as I do, I could afford a holiday. Now, quite apart from the fact I do go on holiday and never complain about money anyway...Hmm I have told her that I enjoy getting coffee out, I like the convenience, the coffee, the tedium of the school pick ups vastly improved etc. This makes me happy often, spread out pretty much daily through the year, and actually, saving the money for a holiday would probably only get me a weekend break anyway....so?? But she still bangs on about it 😁

Zombie. More cosy squares have been knitted up this afternoon for a Candy Hug. Someone will soon get a Woolly Candy Hug, thanks to you! I hope you're cosy where you are tonight and are being well looked after x

Evening darling Phalanx.

I would love to receive cards but please this time send them direct to me and not via a third party.

Name and address are:

Severn Hospice
Bicton Heath

I did put an update on FB last night but (as I'd forgotten the mouse) had to use the touch pad and could not work out how to copy and paste. My niece has retrieved the mouse today so I'll just C&P both that and today's update now:

Friday, 20/01/17

It's been a very long and very busy day but I'm now safely ensconced in my lovely hospice bed. It will take me several days to recover so I am requesting no visitors unless pre-arranged for at least the weekend.

Niece, I will need you to call by here to pick up a house key so you can collect so overlooked bits and bobs that I need. See you tomorrow.

I am at the Servern Hospice at Bicton Heath in Shrewsbury, Room 4 Perry Ward.

Thanks for understanding.

Today (Saturday 21/01.17)

Niece, it was wonderful to see you. Thank you so much for running those errands for me. Look forward to seeing you Monday night.

The staff here are all angels. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My room is bright and spacious. They even have a small indoor smoking room. That's much nicer than shuffling outside to the smoking shed in this weather! The food is fabulous and having someone else prepare it and bring it you is fantastic. I'm still not eating a huge amount but anything is better than nothing.

This weekend is being spent primarily assessing my current condition so that they can start tweaking everything tomorrow or Monday.

They gave me a warm soaky bath this morning from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Clean hair is fab.

I've slowly (very slowly) been regaining some strength as the day has progressed. Now back in bed watching Casualty.

I'll try to update again tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll just you all my love and thanks for your continuing support.

Zombie seeing that post made me so happy. I bought a card today but I was going to check with a more experienced phalanxer whether you'd appreciate it.

Sending all my love and best wishes as always Flowers
