Well, it seems that DD's phone wasn't hacked at all, it was something to do with password resets because her work emails go through her phone or something. She had spoken to Apple before I told her about Comtess's phone, and they were very helpful. The pics should come back gradually if she keeps it charged and connected to wifi. So phew!
