I have a rather amusing story about an old fox fur stole of my MILs, a party at the BBC and a trip on the Central Line. Oh the humiliation. But perhaps not now.

Enid · 24/01/2007 15:03

I often do that with our roast chicken (sunday lunch one)

but poussin takes all that faff out of the equation but they still get roast chicken (also doesnt take long to cook)

bundle · 24/01/2007 15:03

I was married in a Dries van Noten velvet jacket and a silk skirt from Harvey Nicks

Carmenere · 24/01/2007 15:04

Oh come on, surely I must be winning here, is that not the ponciest thing you have ever heard?

expatinscotland · 24/01/2007 15:04

What?

You weren't married in antique family heirloom dresses?

How very nouveau . . .

We eloped.

bundle · 24/01/2007 15:04

CountessDracula · 24/01/2007 15:06

hmm

don't do instant coffee (i call it builders' coffee)
don't do squash (though oddly I don't mind elderflower cordial )
LOVE Billecart Salmon
I HATE drinking tea out of anything other than bone china I can't bear thick mugs
Ditto with wine glasses, Riedel or Spiegelau.

Fencing is an odd one
It was compulsary at my school for TWO YEARS can you imagine????
I do like it though

PrincessPeaHead · 24/01/2007 15:07

the point is, bundle, that there is not a lot of choice if you have been chucked out of the BBC and are standing in white city late at night with nary a cab around for MILES

wearing a dead fox complete with eyes and feet

Carmenere · 24/01/2007 15:08

Thanks Enid I have to admit, it's not me but I have a suspicion that one of my very close friends does this as her grandmother was a famous novelist and I suspect she has lofty aspirations.

Anchovy · 24/01/2007 15:08

DD (3) has MOP pear detangler on her hair daily followed by a dab of Bumble & Bumble leave in conditioner (she has wild and ungovernable curls and the Superdrug detangler we bought once smelled like car wash).

I have someone called Godwin delivering my Ocado shop.

mosschops30 · 24/01/2007 15:09

Dont ever buy shops own tins, always brand
All my hangers have to have that little rubber bit on them and face the same way
I have never bought anything from a charity shop (although give lots to them and groan when I see what great stuff friends have bought there)

bundle · 24/01/2007 15:11

pph luckily I am at the other end of the central line (holborn), though I do sympathise as I used to work in white city...(now back in radio, thank goodness)

played lacross at school (comp!) for 2 years

gave builders honey in coffee once as had no granulated sugar for them

Anchovy · 24/01/2007 15:11

I have a limited edition titanium McLaren stroller with Bill Amberg leather seat.

Mega ponce! I thank you!

CountessDracula · 24/01/2007 15:12

lacrosse is the MOST vile game on earth

Carmenere · 24/01/2007 15:13

I buy the frozen crab, frozen lobster and foie gras in Lidl.

bundle · 24/01/2007 15:13

cd i quite liked it

Hallgerda · 24/01/2007 15:13

At least you don't have to remember any silly rules while playing lacrosse, unlike netball...
