I'm not. I am trying but the kids are driving me up the wall.
Can't really go out either as my moms on holiday and taking all 3 out on my own is usually a disaster.

At the mo Dd2 is screaming her head off cos Dd1 has got a book she wants and i have a splitting headache

Hi Coddy, they are 6, 4, and 18mths.

It's Dd2 who i have probs with when out as she just runs off, and is generally hard work.
I just end up wishing i hadn't bothered.

Roll on September, my kids drive me mad

feezy · 04/06/2004 10:00

Best thing for us is having a dog because they all come out for a walk with me every morning whatever the weather for an hour.
I'm braving a Quentin Blake exhibition at our local museum this pm - must be mad :0 :0

I haven't even go them dressed yet, or myself.

It's going to be one of those days again.

NC

Haven't you got an indoor softplay area you could go to. They are usually really safe and you don't have to worry about dd2 running off. It really helps to get out even for an hour or so. Things will be so much better when you have your garden. I know as I used to live in a flat and when we moved here to our house with a graden it really was life-changing as I no longer have that hemmed in feeling when we stay in.

I know its bad but I don't often get paints out for the kids but it really keeps them quiet for a while or perhaps bake some cakes with them or let them have a bath during the day. If you do something with them for 1/2 hour or more then you don't feel too bad if they waych a bit of t.v. for a bit. What about emptying toy boxes - mine spend ages going through stuff they haven't bothered with for ages.
Mine aren't dressed either bt they will be soon as I can here them being very silly upstairs and I think I.m going to shout
Dog walking time me thinks!

I can't wait till September too, my ds will be starting full-time then ! if I am so fed up within a week, what am I going to be like in the 6 weeks holiday. I have no enthusiasm at the moment and everything is hard work.

Its trying to find something that occupies a 6 and 4 year old that doesn't cost any money. Wherever I go they always want something, I love to give them things but its not a never ending pot.

Yesterday, after a lot of effort, I took them down town for specific things (nothing for them) then took them to the town park, had a ice-cream and watched the old men play bowls and then took them to the train station to stand on the platform and watch the trains. They loved it, it was such a simple idea and ds is still talking about the red train going to Birmingham and the blue train off to Liverpool. Bless. Fio2 - you know where I mean.

But I'm afraid my imagination is dead today - roll on Monday

nutcracker · 04/06/2004 11:54

Well they are atleast dressed now anyway.

BH - There is a few ball pools around here but all of them require me to go on the bus, and with Dd2 that can be a nightmare. She has actually refused to get off before now.

I was going to go into town on the bus and then walk to the park, but it keeps raining.

Roll on tommorow, we are going to visit a friend with a garden

Roll on Monday! Last week ds1 was ill so half term has felt verrrry long esp as now I'm ill with what he had, and dd is also off and ds2 is full of snot (sorry). Yet we keep plodding on, doing things for them, keeping them entertained, despite feeling rubbish ourselves.Oh the joys...............
