I'm not. I am trying but the kids are driving me up the wall.
Can't really go out either as my moms on holiday and taking all 3 out on my own is usually a disaster.

At the mo Dd2 is screaming her head off cos Dd1 has got a book she wants and i have a splitting headache

marthamoo · 03/06/2004 14:29

feezy · 03/06/2004 14:31

Its absolutely pouring with rain here aswell and dh has asked me to go to pc world to get him something he needs for work and can't get it himself because he is playing football after work! And there is no food in house because kids have eaten it all so I also need to go shopping with at least 3 in tow.

Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 14:32

OP posts:
feezy · 03/06/2004 14:36

Why is it 2 weeks ?
Mine are off next Thursday aswell-perhaps Nutcracker is like the Queen and all the kids have a day off to celebrate her birthday

Tinker · 03/06/2004 14:38

Just the way they do Whit here. Summer is 5 weeks (but not this year, strangely.)

happycat · 03/06/2004 14:43

I just sent one to bed and the other two out in the garden for twenty minutues and then I enjoyed an ice lolly and a cup of tea watching yes adult t.v . see now i can be sane for the next hour at least.

feezy · 03/06/2004 14:45

Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 14:45

OP posts:
Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 14:46

OP posts:
hercules · 03/06/2004 14:47

Nothing like an ice lolly and a bit of "adult" tv.

feezy · 03/06/2004 14:49

Sod it I'm going to have to go out

Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 14:51

OP posts:
Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 14:53

My god, they are actually sitting together on Dd1's bed playing with the Leap pad, and there is no shouting or screaming.
Miracles can happen

I'm still here and mine are being very kiddy running up and down stairs, banging doors and annoying ds 12. Hate taking them shopping when they like this.

feezy · 03/06/2004 14:59

And I'm sat here eating a packet of buttons - but don't tell coddy coz I'm supposed to be dieting !

Nutcracker · 03/06/2004 15:01

I do need to go out and get milk, but think i'll send dp later.

Must go and have a tablet for my head.

OP posts:
happycat · 03/06/2004 15:33

It always drives me mad my ds starts every day with'what are we doing today mummy?'I could scream! We have done nothing today but tomorrow he is having a friend to stay all day and night I am really looking forward to that!!!!!!!!

Blu · 03/06/2004 16:12

YES it's driving me mad, and I don't have school age children! (yet)
Children and Teenagers veering all over the road on bikes and skateboards doing wheelies in 4 lanes of traffic, going through red lights - or riding 4 abreast on the pavement at Tour de france speeds. Local book/card shop closed due to childcare, only half the number of doctors and nurses at the GP's surgery, same reason, can't nip quickly to shops in lunch hour as everywhere chocker with poor encumbered mums with 3 under-8's, or huge gangs of teens mooching about....Grumpy Old Blu

slug · 04/06/2004 09:38

OK voice of dissent here. I'm having a lovely chilled time. One hyperactive demanding toddler is soooooo much easier to deal with than whole classloads of 18 year olds who can't seem to get to grip with the concept that if they do not hand in assignments for internally assessed courses then they will fail. Or the infinite stress of marking, moderating, tracking key skills through portfolios, invigilating exams where students protest (loudly) when they are caught with mobile phones going off even though they have been asked directly as they enter the room "Have you got a phone on you?, and if so, give it to me". And NOTHING the small one does can be as stressful as the work bully who has got it in for me after I pointed out that he could not send work off to the exam board, claiming it was a A grade, when it is screamingly obvious that it hadn't even been marked (it was a C at best), especially when it is his responsibility, for which he is PAID extra, to ensure that the whole marking and standards moderation proceedure runs smoothly.

Rant over. I'm off to take the sluglet swimming

codswallop · 04/06/2004 09:42

How old are our three nutty?
I would get out just for the afternoon?
