RubberDuckWithCranberrySauce · 21/12/2006 13:15

Think so.

At least I hope so, cos I want ds1's lego....

cadeauxbury · 21/12/2006 13:15

yes - but surely you know what they are getting anyway?

CranberryJelley · 21/12/2006 13:15

Enjoying the Christmas holidays then, are you?

PamiNativity · 21/12/2006 13:17

I looooove work Just about to go for a boozy free lunch which will go on till the evening, whilst dh looks after all three dds at home

2nervesnapartridgeinapeartree · 21/12/2006 13:17

Have you tried shouting loudly at the window "Santa are you watching/listening to this?" DD is 5 and it is working so far.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 21/12/2006 13:19

I may know what the presents are but at least I'll have some toys to play with.

Yesterday I was ready to run amock with an Uzi at Bocketts Farm where we went to see Santa. I lost the will to live within 30 minutes. BabyDragon lasted 20 minutes. Today we are having a Pyjama Day and DSs are picking at each other to cause fights and bickering incessantly.

And the threat of Santa watching isn't working this year!

OP posts:
colditz · 21/12/2006 13:20

.....no, you will not get anythin from santa

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 21/12/2006 13:20

I might just do that....to my lovely boozy lunch (did I mention it was childfree??!!! )

RubberDuckWithCranberrySauce · 21/12/2006 13:23

Santa watching thing is just making ds1 say nastily to ds2 every five minutes "you won't be getting any presents this year" and not actually making a difference in either of their behaviour.

Have got ds2 asleep and ds1 on the cbeebies website for a short period of sanity.

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 21/12/2006 13:29

Yes! Undoubtably

2nervesnapartridgeinapeartree · 21/12/2006 13:32

Oh bugger. What age does the santa threatening stop working?

KTreePee · 21/12/2006 13:53

Every school holiday I forget that if we stay in our pyjamas for the morning and I sneak off to MN, all hell breaks loose...must remember to always plan an activity for the first day off in future...

busybusymum · 21/12/2006 13:55

I'm dreading hometime because my 7 & 9 year olds were at a school disco and didnt get into bed until 10pm.

DH and I are taking bets on which one starts the fighting first!!!

expatinscotland · 21/12/2006 13:56

I'm already eating some of their chocolate.

How much chocolate do a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old need?

meowmix · 21/12/2006 14:30

we 'phone' father christmas with updates on behaviour once a day. yesterday, when I told DS off for something he ran to pick up the phone and said " Father Christmas? Yes. It's Meowmix Junior. Mummy's been very naughty. No I DON'T think she can have any presents now. Yes. Goodbye"

Tortington · 21/12/2006 14:31

i think you should give their presents to a charity sop to ease the guilt

StrawberrySnowflakes · 21/12/2006 14:33

its being in the hosue ive found when the children'play up'..wrap em up and bung em in the back garden for 1/2 an hour!

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 21/12/2006 14:43

I can eat the chocolate though can't I Custardo??? I don't have to give that to charity surely?

Unfortunately I can't chuck BayDragon into the garden and she is, in many ways, the worst of the lot.

Snort @ "mummy's been very naughty..."

I did that Strawberry - within ten minutes ds2 was complaining he was cold (he did dip both his hands into collected rain water and then let them drip dry, ffs), then they were fighting again, then I brought ds2 in for a nap as he was disintegrating before my eyes ... in the meantime ds1 stood outside shouting "Mummy!" in a "you've barred me from the house voice" when the door was completely unlocked and all he had to do was push the handle down. I'm sure the neighbours must be dialling social services as I type...

iota · 21/12/2006 14:46

I have just found the peerfect solution - go out and leave the boys at home with their dad.

( they have been helping him make a chocolate log)

RubberDuckWithCranberrySauce · 21/12/2006 14:47

Tried that - told dh that I would go into his work tomorrow for his Christmas Party while he stayed at home with the kids... suprisingly, he didn't jump at the offer...

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 21/12/2006 15:08

Men. Pah!
