Yay for the holidays and no more PL's. I hated making them - both DC have school dinners, which are ok at DD's but pretty crap at DS's school.

I am getting super stressed re: this job. I will have to bring my dads laptop back after Christmas to do some targeted applying FFS.

Tbf it took days for them to come back re second interview, but that was because they were still interviewing. I just need to know either way. I am not usually this angsty so that is not a good sign.

Do you know if they've finished doing the second interviews? Angst's normal I guess if you really want the job - hard to be objective about your chances when you pin so much on the outcome unfortunately.

I am usually very relaxed, even when I want it, I usually also 'know'. If I base it solely on how my interview went then it is as usual, but he threw me mentioning the other candidates.

Maybe I'm a cheapskate but £2 for a school dinner always strikes me as quite expensive, I think I can make a healthier packed lunch for a fraction of that. I know its a hassle though. Sparks the DC making their own sounds amazing, I can't wait for that!!!!

It is cheaper Lyndie, it's just the being on top of it and making them. Partly because when I am working it still seems to fall to me even though DH would be here in the mornings and I resent it.

I emailed HR to ask because I cannot take it any longer.

£2 is cheap for round here Lyndie. It's what my school charges for everything home-made on the premises (even down to the bread), but we are the exception rather than the norm. They're usually dearer and as for secondary school!

Hate to tell you but it did take me til they were 15 & 17 to get them to do their own

Ours are £2.15 I think but obviously Emir is free because he is KS1. The food and menu is pretty good but packed lunch is still cheaper.

The bloody washing machine won't work now. My day is going to bloody pot.

My 2 have always had school dinners. I adore making PL's, but that's because I only make them once a term, eg for a school trip. If I had to make them every day I seriously couldn't do it. Dreds ds2 finishing ks1 this year.

Both DC had school dinners all through primary so DS2 still on them - £2 a day or thereabouts - but DS1 went on to PL when he'd been at high school for a bit as the lunches there were a bit crap.
