Plans for firework night anyone? We're planning to let off fireworks on the allotment. Dp says it will be fine.

So, loads of children's centres and early intervention hubs are going to close across my county after all, two years after we "saved" them.

In 10 years time or less, when there are no local services at all, no clean parks, museums, libraries, services for the young, old and vulnerable, nothing, and it's like living in southern spain, are people going to finally wake up and stop voting like selfish bastards????

That Lords vote was the best though. Osborne's face while stuttering on repeat about unconstitutionality. (Despite having paid to fly in Lord Cuntface Webber et al.) Like theyve ever been against the house of lords before!

I am utterly dismayed at it all.
My one hope is that it's so fucking bad in 5 years time that people vote in a liberal socialist govt to right the mess.

Totally agree about the media, so much is emotive crap now, focussing on the most heart rending rather than the biggest issues affecting more people. They'll pick the one cute kid 'forced to fly to America for treatment costing hundreds of thousands', but not the enormous numbers of elderly people whose social care visits are too short, or the hospital referral waiting lists, or the subjects being cut from secondary schools or... I could go on all day

Full on day chez Floppers. Both DC had muddy football matches. Both scored a goal! WHOOP! Then DS and DH went to the localsmallfootballteam'S 1st match in the FA cup. DS is a mascot and will walk out work the team. Then home and straight out to a huge bonfire that DH is involved with.

I'm tired just typing about it!

Not bothering with going out here, DD doesn't like fireworks & DS has disappeared out with a friend. May see if I can watch any out of a window! Is that an option Obs? Going out in heavy rain doesn't sound enticing I have to admit.

Evening wenches Not done much today except a trip to town trying to find shoes which failed. Practiced some crocheting which was fun. Now I'm drinking Pimms and watching Midsomer Murders

Been backwards and forwards today as DH's car was in the garage so lifts to and fro, DS2 at sports lesson, then DH went to football, took both DC into town for their new glasses, back home, two of DS1's friends came round, fed everyone, took DS1 and friends to cinema, went to Tesco for a few bits, back home. Thankfully, DH is picking up from cinema. I am pooped.

Not going out to a bonfire or anything.

I'll be having a drink with these lot
