Have NRTFT but am sitting in the M&S cafe sharing a piece of carrot cake with ds2 and wanted to share that I'd forgotten how lovely having afternoon tea with a 3yo can be Grin

(Of course it can also be bloody horrific but when the gods are with you, it's charming)

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/09/2015 15:58

Awwww issy!

So is 9.30 ok for everyone for rewatch?

MrsEvadneCake · 13/09/2015 16:02

Dog should be actively encouraged to stuff things in his pockets in those trousers.

Issy it's a lovely thing Smile enjoy your cake!

I'm gradually getting sorted. My list is decreasing.

Lyndie · 13/09/2015 16:20

Afternoon wenches. Everyone ok?

Apologies for the absence. I'm coming to you live from my beautiful new hybrid laptop!!

After the hacker stuff MN shut down the App (which was crap and didn't work properly anyway), couldn't log on with Safari on the iPad or my phone and the only way I could have posted was with my crap old laptop with the broken screen plugged into DH's monitor.

So I've been reading it on my phone but not able to post so I am fully up to date with everyone's news but just haven't been able to bore you with mine. As I'm normally in the other place this didn't matter hugely but it's nice to have the choice now to do everything.

Badders I fully approve of your new place of work - have you had the salted caramel cake yet?

Mouse great news about TM new school, you must be thrilled.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/09/2015 16:23

I'm fine with 9.30 for RW

FancyFancy · 13/09/2015 16:36

lyndie!!! Fab to have you back in here.

Aw, issy (I hope you're getting to eat some of that cake yourself?)

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/09/2015 16:37

We got to the beach just in time for it to start raining. Would have bene there sooner but charming DS had a hissy fit about being asked to get dressed and has had his computer taken away as a result (straw/camels back etc)

LetUs - it's a new series - it's all 'monsters' Also, DS is 'very tired' in the mornings too. That's why the little sod is up at 6:30 on the nose every day. (or earlier if he can get away with it)

9:30pm is in the diary Grin

Badders123 · 13/09/2015 16:50

Lyndie! Nice to see you back. I haven't tried that, but I have had the strawberry cake. Very nice.
Dc are back and we are now watching age of ultron on DVD :)

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 13/09/2015 17:03

Afternoon Wenches :)

Back from a lovely weekend with my parents for Dad's birthday - pub lunch and a lovely walk yesterday, yummy Mum dinner, too much wine, cheese etc etc.

We're all sorted for school tomorrow - DS2's first full day! - and DH is about the cook steak for dinner. I'm curled up on the sofa with the boys in my lap watching Fellowship of the Ring and perving at Aragorn. He makes a damm fine HBF.

Badders123 · 13/09/2015 17:14

Ali...ds1 is getting the LOTR box set for xmas :)

IssyStark · 13/09/2015 17:39

Ali that sounds like a blissful day Smile

9.30 okay for me as well

(On the ds2 front, he threw a tantrum as soon as we got in and is now glued to YouTube Minecraft cake recipe things which are his absolute favourites. No I don't know either Confused )

IssyStark · 13/09/2015 17:44

Oh, and admire my new extravagent purchase: an Orla Kiely hand towel for the kitchen to replace the falling apart one which was originally bought for the ladies loo at our wedding (DrIssy thought I was daft but who wants to rely on an ineffectual municipal hand-dryer when in your glad rags?)

Designer tea towels? Shock Such things exist?

MrsEvadneCake · 13/09/2015 18:07

I think it's lovely issy and I have a little bit of tile envy going on too.

I'm giving up on my to do list. I'm starting a can't be arsed list. Sounds like there have been lots of relaxed and lovely wench Sunday's.

IssyStark · 13/09/2015 18:18

fancy it's a hand towel not a tea towel, for the drying of hands rather than teas Wink

I have serious designer tea towel envy but doubt I could persuade either dm or dmil to buy me any for Christmas unfortunately.

MrsEvadneCake · 13/09/2015 18:42

Red bubble don't have tea towels. They do have very cool t shirts though.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2015 18:53

Mmm, carrot cake Smile

I've just had kesopl??ttar cottage cheese mini pancakes with chopped nectarines and melted dark chocolate, yummie!

I've been out on a power walk and even did some running, my thighs are hurting.

MrsEvadneCake · 13/09/2015 18:56

That sounds delicious ww

MadamedeChevreuse · 13/09/2015 18:59

Oooh, orla kiely!!!!

I loooooove orla kiely ANYTHING.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2015 19:03

It's a LCHF recipe, I'm trying to eat less flour etc Smile

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2015 19:12

Evening wenches. Nice towel Issy.

Sounds delicious Wicked.

DS2 hasn't yet noticed the new series of Lego minifigures Helen, sorry. If he does though, I'll let you know.

Started watching Wayward Pines this afternoon whilst ironing. I think it started back in May and I'm just getting round to watching it. Matt Dillon - who must be in his 50s but doesn't look it - is in it. Bit of a cross between Twin Peaks and The Prisoner with quite a dark edge.

Had told myself I was not going to get worked up about DS2 and his homework. It's not going well.

And more ep9

Lyndie · 13/09/2015 19:13

Wicked you posted that recipe before and before I attempt it is cottage cheese in Sweden the same thing as in the UK? We get it in a pot like yoghurt and its quite wet. There is a more solid version that you use in Indian cooking, is it like that or the watery stuff?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2015 19:28

I think it's the wet stuff, I don't like the consistence but when it's mixed with the eggs and the physilium stuff it's delicious!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2015 20:38

Watching Poirot and Sarazin (?) is in it Smile
