Been to Uppsala today for fika with a friend and it's a cultural festival going on with lot of food stalls and cultural stuff going on so we ended up buying some thai food and later on coffee and cakes at The Red Cross where they sold home baked goods, delicious

I was planning to buy wine, I'm practically gagging for it, but didn't remember that Systembolaget closes at 3 o'clock so I bought a small bottle of non alcoholic bubbly wine at the supermarket

Obs it is Horrible Histories, Gory Games. Have my fingers firmly crossed as he lives and breathes history but it was one of those 'tell us something silly' and he isn't really silly.

I am reading The Witch and Other Stories. It's volume 6 in a massive collection of short stories. Some are better than others. The Witch for example and one called Gusev I really loved.

Delighted by the prospect of an almost full contingent meet.

Gave up on house work and went to the pub by the canal this afternoon. DH back at work tomorrow so I decided spending time together with the DC was more important. Lovely walk along the tow path.

(Although am a bit disappointed that it is updated to the present and so far there isn't the same emphasis on his homelife or work relationships. BBC Radio did excellent adaptations of the books about four years ago - they were my companions during night-times feeds with ds2)

Evening all. I have had a lovely internet-free day.

LetUs lego minifigures series 15 is out - let me know if you get any duplicates, or if DS isn't using the codes that come with them. (I'll do likewise - today we got the gargoyle) My DS wants to use the codes for the lego minifigures game, which is apparenlty no longer free to play online - I need to investigate that since it caused much trauma this afternoon.

Not much else to report. channelled Issy and did preserving of garden produce - roasted loads of tomatoes - 4kg I think for tomato soup. That's about it.

Inconvenient Cat has just come to sit on me the laptop and I'm trying the chocolate diet.

Issy good luck with interview prep - is this part of the restructuring you mentionned a while back (or did I imagine that?)

Tomorrow we shall hope for better weather and go lo LocalMuseum on their 'free' weekend, and hopefully the beach.
