HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 20:04

Those who like Terry Pratchett (obviously MintyEva, and whoever else), do you find a certain Vimesness about Trev?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/09/2015 20:08

I'd rather look a Athos tbh. Hmmm - Trev - Vimes. Yes I can see that. And the Cardinal was the Patrician.
Dog as Carrot (new to the big city and a bit gormless to start with.) though that would make Connie Agnua Hmm

HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 20:13

Cardinal absolutely the Patrician, and there is alot of Carrot about Dog, especially when he first arrives in the big City.

Aramis could be Greebo turned human in Witches Abroad.

HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 20:16

I think we need to see this one (without the writing).

Can you tell I am on a train and bored?

Sparks you need to read the Count of Monte Cristo because it is amazing!

^what she said Sparks. It's awesome. It replaced Wuthering Heights as my favourite dead writer book. I didn't think it was possible.

MrsEvadneCake · 18/09/2015 20:20

Absolutely a Vimes vibe about Trev. He cares about his troop and despairs at the same time!

Dog as carrot and Aramis as Greebo Yy

Connie would be Amelia Dearheart.

MrsEvadneCake · 18/09/2015 20:21

Adora belle. Stupid phone.

HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 20:22

Anne once when I was 18 and I was driving my best school friend somewhere, I had to stop the car because she was talking about Heathcliff and my knees when too weak to drive!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/09/2015 20:29

I love The count of Monte Cristo as well, been ages since I read it so I think I'll read it again soon.

Badders123 · 18/09/2015 20:30

Just sticking this here before I go to bed...

Sweet dreams wifey Smile

AnneEtAramis · 18/09/2015 21:18

Hahaha, Morelike! I can't do anything at all when discussing Captain Wentworth. They need to just keep adapting these classics with Santi these boys and a select few HBFs.

FancyFancy · 18/09/2015 21:22

Mmmmm morelike, that Aramis pic Grin

Are you still on a train & bored?

Swagger Inn Thread 110. Duvet watch 2015, highbrow literary discussions and hbfs amongst other things
HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 21:28

Am on another train now but nearly home. Was not, in fact, bored in the end as I was busy posting on here.

Thanks for one of my favourites to keep me going, fancy.

Obs2015 · 18/09/2015 21:36

Fancy please PM me when you get the chance.

FancyFancy · 18/09/2015 21:47

You're welcome morelike - it's no hardship to scour my Aramis pic collection for items of interest!

Have pm'd you obs

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 18/09/2015 22:27

What?!!! Haydee I CANNOT BELIEVE you prefer the Peter Pan jacket to his frock coat Shock

FancyFancy · 18/09/2015 22:37

I'm reserving judgement until I have seen it in action. And lets hope there's lots of action in s3

IssyStark · 18/09/2015 22:41

Popping in to say night all!

It's a bloody nightmare without the phone; it means I have to wrestle the iPads off the children and then the bloody things run out of battery almost as soon as I get into the Tav.

Sweet dreams. I'm bringing Athos with me as consulation

FancyFancy · 18/09/2015 22:55

Night issy

HaydeeofMonteCristo · 18/09/2015 23:00

No, never liked the frock coat. Was silly, and would be impossible to fight it. It also obscured too much aramis. New one is not peter panny imo, but would be better without pointy front, I agree.

Still won't be worrying that he is going to trip on silly coat this season.

Glad they kept the blue sash though.
