...you dig out the skimpy little Pulling Frocks which have lain unworn in the drawer for the four years since you first got pregnant, and concede that it's time to get a few (remarkably few) inches shortened so that you can wear them as Attractive Yet Practical tops with jeans

BTW you are at Ikea one evening and you hear a tannoy announcement saying "Come to Ikea on a Friday night and get great bargains in Bargain Corner and there is a free barbecue" and you think (just for a moment, mind), "Ooh, that sounds good. Wonder if we could get a babysitter?".

Codswallop · 11/05/2004 11:06

Tortington · 11/05/2004 13:19

wwhen you look in laura ashley and think " oh those print curtains would look nice in...." then you stamp on your own foot and tell hubby never to let you near the shop again in case of middleageritus

lou33 · 11/05/2004 13:22

Am still trying to resist middle age, although the thought of wearing slippers to a nightclub is getting more appealing.

Galaxy · 11/05/2004 13:25

message withdrawn

Cam · 11/05/2004 13:29

cardies and slips are v. trendy though, but not with a dress on in between!

Cam · 11/05/2004 13:30

when you only consider going to concerts that are all seated

motherinferior · 11/05/2004 13:33

Actually, I'm trying to find the right cardie to go with the one remaining (slip-like) Pulling Frock...

When someone at work tells you that you dress very young.

Especially when you are only in jeans/trainers and are only in your early 20s!

mummytojames · 14/05/2004 22:54
