I actually had a TM dream last night, it was disappointingly clean. Firstly sparks & I met Santi & Howie in the pub & invited them back to my house (which was the house where I grew up) where my entire family were - parents & kids - to play a board game FFS

Swirly timelapse graphic

sparks then morphed into anne & we were on out way to meet Santi & Howie at the beach, I woke just as anne was sorting my hair out as the wind was making it blow everywhere.

Frankly it was all very disappointing Sad

Can she actually speak, read and write all of those fluently??? I guess once you master French then you have Spanish and Italian without a huge amount of effort and prob Portuguese but that accent is harder than the others. I can follow French and read some abd understand but wouldn't rely on it. I put my name down for second language translations at an agency yesterday then the guy started talking about 2,000 word docs. Not sure my skills are up to it.

Well done on getting interview Madame

Yep, 11 languages sounds mind-boggling alright, til you think about language groups! A bit like mrs santi's 5 - oh, er, 3 romance languages plus 2 germanic...

Thank you all for the interview positivity. Flowers

since I got none from P

nor any for quitting smoking

as per usual

Interview is sorted - without any need to ask him for help, hurrah! It's on weds lunchtime the week after next. Woo!

fancy that dream may have been crap but it was crap in a hilaire and kind of sweet way. At least you are dreaming ABOUT them. Id count that as a win. Who knows what will happen next time?? Wink

The way my subconscious is behaving I'm not holding out for a From Here to Eternity moment

Amazing news, to young Lord comtess. You must be so proud.

And good luck to Madame, we'll cheer you on. Cannot believe how awesomely talented wenches and wench offspring are.

Thank you for the well dones for TM. It's not much but it was a big leap for him and its made me realise this new school will be wonderful for him.

Very interesting dream fancy. In my only raunchy dream I went to the post office with the Winchester brothers to sort out paperwork.

Oh and up yours, bad vicar.

Well done, madame and best of luck! Sure your Spanish is much better than my holiday Spanish!

Also for quitting smoking! I finally did when I was ttc the first time (having been trying give up for several years before hand) and found it so hard. God knows how people get over heroin addictions and the like.

Ps that makes me so jealous - Mrs santi having 5 languages as well as santi!

Pps agree that wenches seem a very multi talented bunch!

Babymouse is being extremely difficult of late. Climbing, whingy, determined to get into trouble. Like his brother but worse.

How old are the little mice? The one you posted a picture of was adorable!

Report
Enormouse · 14/08/2015 15:18

Worse. Because at least toddlermouse has some awareness of danger, babymouse knows no fear.

Please someone recommend wearing out type activities for very small boys. I'm thinking toddler football for TM, swimming for BM and possibly gymnastics for both.

TM 4 in October, BM about 19 months.

Mouse, it sounds like you have a DS3 on your hands and the worst thing is that he often does the crazy thing, hurts himself and WILL do it again. It's like a challenge.

So what say you all to Tom and the Man Bun? and beautiful Luca

I am deeply unhappy about the man bun :(
Mouse...ds2 does gymnastics, football training and swimming lessons once a week

I just let DS3 (4) loose in an open space or playground and he climbs the trees and stuff.

AnneOfAramis · 14/08/2015 15:32

Badders - I think that is the best I have ever seen Tom look.

Report
morelikeguidelines · 14/08/2015 15:33

Luca looking v sexy. Man bun is awful - tom is definitely in the not trusted to dress himself group (with howie).

Swimming sounds vg mouse for both. At 4, tm could do loads of things - trampolining, tennis, football, judo, dancing, maybe even climbing?

Enormouse · 14/08/2015 15:44

Lots of great ideas, for both. Thank you. Tm has eczema and his skin is aggravated by chlorine so swimming will be one for when he's older. BM loves water so Mr M will take him. And I'm thinking of getting grandparents to pay a little towards sports for birthdays instead of toys.

Both are extremely agile, strong, energetic boys. I didn't think it was possible for there to be a more physically demanding version of TM (weeps)

The man bun makes the eggs shoot back up my fallopian tubes.

You're weird

Sadly for all other teams Santi does wear the man bun best.

Sadly for all other teams Santi does wear the man bun best of all. I have run out of picture allowance but believe it was amongst my faves

When mine were young we had a dog so they were out every day for walks which helped. I would try to get them together with other children as much as possible & let them run round the local parks and playgrounds. Also we were in London so walked/bussed everywhere - good exercise for all of us.

Swimming is good for tiring them out & DD did gym classes. Our local sports centre had a gynastics club & had drop-in sessions where children could use the gym hall & some of the equipment - foam pit, balance benches, climbing bars & all on a sprung floor which was fab for running around on.

FFS. Am still having to log in every time. Was hoping it would be sorted by now .

I'm quite liking that Tom photo. It's from March or April (Apes found out) so it's W&P beardage.

Yes re SIL, she is very fluent in about 8 or 9, and passable in the others. She is Swedish, married to English guy (BIL) and brought up in Bangladesh. She works in third sector / international development as educational and language specialist, helping to set up teacher training and ensuring that marginalised people groups can get access to the education they now need (but provided by themselves not aid workers). Been in South East Asia for last 10 years or so. And she's slim, pretty, self depreciating and lovely. I'd but she really is one of my favourite people and so not up herself. No way could I do what she has. When BIL met her she was living in a house with no electric as she thought it was a waste to use project funds on the kind of air conditioned homes with generator that some of her colleagues insisted on. Thankfully BIL is handy and rigged up solar, and then a few years later the Chinese put hydro in the area so at the end they even had a fridge.
