are we going to annoy other parents if dh goes to dd1 xmas show?

he has never been to one of her family assesemblies or xmas shows whilst she has been at school as he has always been too ill. this year he is well, but is connected to the LVAD, which ticks all the time, quite loudly. He will need to be seated on the end of aisle, and will havwe to be the last in/first out due to the crowding etc.

should he go? will other parents get annoyed?

misdee, I had the same thought as RubyRioja- will he be alright from the infection point of view? Seem to remember that you satrted a thread asking whether your dd's nursery should be more careful about kids with infections...

I hope you get to put those BHF leaflets and donor info out misdee, and that you both have a fab time watching dd1.
I would not be remotely bothered in this situation - more likely to feel glad for the parent that they made it to the show despite all the extra hassle involved

misdee · 23/11/2006 14:32

the infection part of the nursery was mainly as there is impertigo going around atm. i'm sure a 30-60min show will help peter a lot mentally, than the small risk of a parent coughing on him (i will be sitting between him and other people anyway) and we wont be hanging about.

Brilliant that it is sorted misdee. I hope you both enjoy it.

mamama · 23/11/2006 14:54

Of course he should be there, if he wants to go. I think it would be wonderful.

If you can, I'd mention it to the teacher/ head to see if they can reserve a couple of seats on the end of the row for you

The whispers and looks must be horrid.

I hope you all have a great time

awww go....if people don't understand than they are tossers and not worth considering!
However, how would your oh feel if you let the school know and inform parents of the situation....people will probably be more compassionate when they "know" what is going on!
