It's how to transport it. It's a square cake that I'm finishing with buttercream because the edges need to be really sharp. Someone else suggested royal icing but the bride is pg and I'm not sure if she could eat that with it being raw egg. Plus time factor, I'm going to make ahead and freeze sponge and filling, but the finished cake...shall I chill and hope it doesn't get knocked or freeze and risk the icing cracking when it thaws?

Don't freeze it with buttercream icing on!

Elk packeted royal icing would be fine as no raw egg only powder. A lot of pg people are ok about lion stamped eggs these days.

As for transport a cake board and a really sturdy box? Or have I misunderstood? How big is it?

Most ore prepared stuff uses lion stamped eggs so treated for salmonella...was that your worry?

It's a 3 tier, 10, 8 and 6inch. I've got a stacked cake box, it's the precision of the icing getting marked that bothers me. It's supposed to look like 3 blocks of Lego so the edges have get to be really crisp. And it's going to take me days to do, plus we're going up the day before.
