There was an article in Times 2 yesterday (which I would link but my computer is still misbehaving - maybe someone could?).

Going on about playgroup mafia mums who rule teachers and parents and fight for the best for their children blah blah blah blah. Alphas mums.

I do not know anyone like this. My friends who have children at school do not know anyone like this.

Is it a southern thing or a myth created by journalists?

The same article was in the Daily Mail today (oh the shame of it I confess I buy it when I am in a magazine reading mood).

Why is it conceivably of enough interest to print it in two newspapers ? Shock horror some women are competitive, well duh, I guess some men may be as well, but you don't see half arsed badly written articles about it on a daily basis in the press.

I guess the author has her mortgage to pay same as everyone else but I do wish the papers would ease up on their relentless mummy bashing vendetta.

Oh and "deepest Boden territory" thats good, thats very good, I'm going to be using that a lot I think.

My part of deepest Boden territory is Chiswick, west London. As I'm wearing a Boden top, skirt and coat today I include myself as a native.
