I don't have a freeview receiver.
I don't have cable
I don't have satellite
I don't, for snooty moral high horse reasons, have Sky.

I just have the 5 bog-standard channels. And I don't think I'm missing out (but wouldn't mind BBC4 )

The more I hear of the analogue signal being switched off the more determined I am to dig my heels in and tell any government to get stuffed. Pay ME if you want me to watch tv.

Am I all alone out here?

from what I read digital TV is not really worth the price, and we've lived with small 14'' tv for the last 5-6 years, but are getting a huge 32'' soon: we love videos and am fed up of having to pause everytime there's something written on screen because I can't see it from the sofa and have to get up!! Also can't watch any films with subtitles..but not a digital one.

I would love to have a digital camera though!

Of course you can Cam

That's true about the small screen though, watching '...Millionaire' is a bit of a problem.

moodyzebra, we are tv less as well, am not a complete luddite as we watch dvd's on laptop, though its quite cosy watching a film on a screen that small. Can't believe I am missing much not having digital, or terrestrial come to that. ds and dd don't seem to ever ask for it, (mind you dd is 9 months so I guess she can't!)

hey Tinker, you ain't alone! we do not have sattelit or cable either, although I do confess to a set top box so we can watch BBC 3 and 4, also news 24 is quite good.I also cite moral high horse reasons ( and deep loathing of Mr. Murdoch and his empire!) so don't give in!

No - have none, enough rubbish on 4 channels (don't get channel 5 in Cambridge, least not in the house I live in - HORRAH no loss). Don't even have a car or a mobile phone. Dp works in computers and he doesn't have a mobile either much to the amazment of everyone we know!

Although No TV... We do have 3 computers all with multi-region DVD players on them. I really hate adverts... Big Brother/Changing Rooms/Who wants to be a Millionaire culture, glad to avoid all that.

I thought this thread was going to be about all digital things... DH got a mobile phone which I hate but it has come in handy. I don't know the number, though!
