I'm watching the Colin Firth P&P on DVD. Did you know it was broadcast 20 years ago ShockShockShock ?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/04/2015 21:22

Cin yes. God I'm old Confused

IssyStark · 11/04/2015 21:24

Evening all!

Have still not caught up but can say yes did have a lovely break in Sussex, much beer, castles and seafood, and do like OrlaK (have some bed linen) and Radley (got one for my fortieth from DrIssy).

Am not drinking Wine as did lots of that last night and this afternoon at friend's birthday pubage and now have extra child overnight as pubage is continuing and no reason why more adults than necessary need to miss out. Think I'm sober but still so stuffed from lunch, don't think I could manage any thing else, not even a nice Brew

Baddz · 11/04/2015 21:31

20 years!?
Bloody hell

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 21:33

Night wenches Smile

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 11/04/2015 21:43

You're welcome, Fancy Grin

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/04/2015 21:45

Cinn stop the DVD and read what Sparks posted. Trust me. Then you can watch the lake scene afterwards. It'll improve it, or at least your reaction to it.

20 years though, bloody hell. I still fancy Colin Firth.

Pleased you had a lovely time Issy. Can't beat a good castle on holiday

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 21:51

Dear God, it makes me want some flirty, witty Aramis in s3

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 21:54

I loved that version of P&P too

LetUsPrey · 11/04/2015 21:55

But why is the vodka gone?

I remember watching P&P when it was first on the telly. Loved it. I also like the film version with Matthew McFadyen.

Night Wicked

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/04/2015 22:00

I think it was the posh, repressed bit that I liked Darcy for. I seem to have a type. One that is improved by leather and beardage.

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 22:05

I'm with you on the posh, repressed bit mrsb, mind you, if we're talking repressed, how about John Thornton in North & South?

LetUsPrey · 11/04/2015 22:08

Fancy I love North and South! The bit where he shouts his love for her ... phwoaaarrr

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/04/2015 22:15

Yes! Especially when he is also Richard Armitage.

MiladyBeaWinter · 11/04/2015 22:16

Which Musketeer would you date?

I got Athos Grin of course

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 22:23

Yes yes yes to all that smouldering and the high starched collars, oof Grin (And as mrsb says, all played by RA)

LetUsPrey · 11/04/2015 22:28

Rocky Horror Show is on! Tim Curry is just strutting around rather magnificently to Sweet Transvestite. Awesome Grin

ChaiseLounger · 11/04/2015 22:55

Athos aswell MrsB.

FancyFancy · 11/04/2015 22:55

I'm heading off for a hot bubbly bath & my favourite face pack. I shall lie back & relax .... and then ScaredyCat will teeter round the edge of the bath looking like she's going to fall in. If I went the whole hog & had candles, she'd probably set light to her tail or something Grin

night all

BloodyElkFire · 11/04/2015 22:59

Eye rolls all round at getting Athos I got Athos

Watched Colin Firth in The Railwayman the other night....bloody hell it was good. He's an amazing actor.

Am saving The Story for a bit of light bedtime reading and hoping it will filter it's way into my subconscious

Enormouse · 11/04/2015 23:46

Arf at the flammable scaredy cat. I'm off to bed too.

Once I've done that quiz, that is.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/04/2015 07:42

Morning all, spent yesterday at SportingActivity with wifi but no internet Hmm then frenzy of gardening and domestic stuff'n'nonsense. And was very good and didn't turn my laptop on last night since i'm away tonight. DH didn't comment, but he'd better have bloody noticed and appreciated that I was paying attention to the TV him and not MN for once Grin

Today I have ironed the work stuff fed the livestock and done the quiz (Athos - natch) and read the literature. Still need to have breakfast and pack. Then I shall mostly be on a train, and another one, and another one, and another one. Then I shall have a mini-meet-up in NorthernCity, and then I shall do work stuff and pretend to be all professional-like.

LetUsPrey · 12/04/2015 09:00

Morning wenches. Ooo the bar's been restocked! Thanks Helen. Helen? What are you doing with Athos? Ohhhhh I see!

Crappy weather. We have DC's sportingactivity today then the usual stuff. Didn't do any painting yesterday so must do that today. Poldark tonight.

That's better. What's everywench up to today?

MavisGrind · 12/04/2015 09:21

Morning all! It is pissing down here here which is a shame as I was looking forward to finishing a big gardening job. not at all. So, it looks like a day on the sofa determinedly avoiding all the inside jobs that need doing. Oh, and maybe a food shop. Thrilling.

Still, Poldark to look forward to...
