I want a 7 seater mainly for space.

Only 2 babies at the moment, but will have 3rd soon which means a car that will take 3 car seats and all our camping gear! Thats what we are struggling with - we cant go camping without a roof box!

Gobbledispook · 23/10/2006 11:50

Have 3 children and usually carrying others home from school too - so 7 seater ideal. However, I already have one so it's not on my 'wish list'!

expatinscotland · 23/10/2006 11:52

Have I mentioned that I'd quit my job asap w/£40k in hand?

RanToTheHills · 23/10/2006 11:53

nver thought about a 7 seater before but am now worrying about the lack of one in my life. Hell, i guess it wd be big enough to live in?

convert our loft.

scarysuejonez · 23/10/2006 12:00

I would keep half to fund a second adoption in a couple of years, keep £10k to fund me to take longer adoption leave, pay off remaining debts and save the rest, as my savings will be in a perilous state after this adoption.

I really wish you hadn't asked that.

Tutter · 23/10/2006 12:01

pay down a chunk of mortage

(sorry, zzzzz....)

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 23/10/2006 12:01

£10k on remodelling kitchen, £30k on mortgage so DH and I could achieve our dream sooner of both working fun jobs part time.

disemboweledbint · 23/10/2006 12:03

£10k to spend on stuff, house things, baby things etc etc. £30k off the mortgage.

schneebly · 23/10/2006 12:04

I would pay off our mortgage (only about 30k on it) and have get a new kitchen and bathroom!

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 23/10/2006 12:04

Actually this did happen to us and we paid off all our non-mortgage debts and remodelled our old house, convinced we would stay there forever. Moved 2yrs later, it hadn't added value and we nearly doubled our mortgage! Is there a slaps forehead emoticon?

Tortington · 23/10/2006 12:09

pay huge chunck off mortgage.

RanToTheHills · 23/10/2006 12:21

poor you, dinosaur! Sort of thing we do, bad luck I suppose, might recoup in future?

I always have to learn things the hard way so I'm used to putting a good spin on things. We have a nicer house with nicer schools now so are deffo staying put and I am ace at planning kitchens and property development now.

RanToTheHills · 23/10/2006 14:48

well, there you go, more strings to yr bow! Still a shame though.

RanToTheHills · 23/10/2006 14:52

only gathered mere threads of what you're going thro sue, but good luck with it!

OP posts:
scarysuejonez · 23/10/2006 14:52

thank you, if I explained it all you'd lose the will to live!

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 23/10/2006 14:52

would get it all out of the bank in £10 notes and spend an afternoon throwing it up in the air in my front room.

clumsymum · 23/10/2006 15:02

Pay off our credit cards (don't ask how much, too much) then put the rest towards moving. I hate this house, hate this street, hate this town, but the actual costs of moving are keeping us here.

TooTickyTheAppleBobber · 23/10/2006 15:05

Well, if you're really stuck for ideas, I'll take it off your hands.

LadyDooM · 23/10/2006 15:08

I would save most of it up for my kids educations and future. Or I would put a down payment on a house with a garden. And buy some decent furniture thats not made of plastic..lol or Perhaps take a nice holiday somewhere sunny and hot.

Apronscreams · 23/10/2006 15:09

30 off motgage, 10 for FUN!
