I've never used a self-service checkout in the supermarket (I'm too scared to as one shouted at my parents once).

When my parents used the one in Tesco my Dad picked up the bags of shopping before Mum had completed the credit card transaction - there must be a sensor on the conveyor belt because an electronic 'voice' started shouting "This shopping has not been paid for! This shopping has not been paid for!"

I'm never using one...

never managed to get my card to swipe on those self serve checkouts and hate them as they weigh everything and don't register light things or if you hold them in your hand. So cut to shot of me slapping cover belt and swearing loudly at a machine.
