desperate, sorry, ideas for 7 yr old boy birthday

Sorry, but I'm desperate. I have also known what to get ds, but this time I'm stumped and days are running out for me to get him a birthday pressie.

Thanks to over-indulgent grandparents, great grandparents and aunty he has already a lot - bike, scooter, skate board, roller blades, game boy, watch, walkie talkies, too much lego etc etc

He is active, forever playing outside. Nanny has got him a 'discovery set' with binoculors, magnifying glass, bug collecting tub etc. He's into playing outside, quite active, doesn't generally play with toys.

He wants a knife. He wants a pet. He will not be getting either.

Hoenstly at a loss. Any ideas?

serendipity, that gp ape looks absolutely brilliant, but yes, they are too old, min age 10. but there is one near my mum's who lives in dorset, so It's a definite for when they're older. The stomp rocket looks good. and keen on the books too. all these will have to do for christmass from rellies. dh says he had a teepee when he was kid. and he loved it. all cool ideas. pity he's stuck here with a potentially shit bionical pressie, but he is going to have a fantastic christas. really. thanks for soooo many fantASTIC IDEAS
