DH's work is doing a photoshoot for a medical company and they are looking for people (babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, mums, dads, grandmas/pas)

You will get paid £40 per adult and £25 per child and travelling expenses. The shoot is in Bishops Stortford Nr Stanstead. Not sure of dates yet though, will either be in the next couple of weeks or at the end of August.
They need to know a list of people that are interested by tomorrow though.

If you are interested could you contact me on

[email protected]

Thanks

oh and they are not taking photos of anything 'medical' btw!!! Suddenly realised that sounded odd!! Want photos of people looking happy and enjoying themselves - playing in park scenes, people walking dogs etc....

Would children not need a licence?

julienetmum · 19/07/2006 13:07

You could also try posting this on www.notapushymum.com. They have lots of this sort of thing on there.

poppiesinaline · 19/07/2006 13:57

no, the children do not need a licence. The parents just need to sign something on the day to say that they agree for their children to be photographed.

Thanks for all who responded. Getting quite excited. Could turn into a MN meet up!!!

thanks for that link btw. They are looking for 'normal' people so if you or your child have never done any modelling whatsoever, that does not matter at all. They are throwing a picnic sort of thing and the photographer will be just milling around.

Are you sure? Has the company checked with the Education Welfare Officer. As payment is involved they can be very strict on this sort of thing as technically it would be classed as modelling even if it is informal.

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 14:09

Have emailed you!

julienetmum · 19/07/2006 14:10

I only mention it as I have had to suffer the appalling red tape of a local EWO just to take some kids to be extras in a show with no payment made to them.

poppiesinaline · 19/07/2006 14:31

Have checked. DH said 'good point' and was impressed that someone thought to bring it up.

It is all covered. The parents sign a contract which is called a 'modelling release contract'. This is a short term contract just for that particular photoshoot. It means that both parties are legally covered and that the photographer has to pay money to take the photos.

Don't suppose they'd pay travelling expenses from Scotland?

julienetmum · 19/07/2006 14:49

The licence I mean is the one issued by the LEA giving the children permission to take part as per the Children's Performance Regulations 1968.

It is long, complicated and subject to interpretation by different LEA's,maybe yours is quite lax (ours isn't!!!) All modelling is covered by this act.

julienetmum · 19/07/2006 14:50

Anyway, would love to do it but we have work and holiday booked for mostof August.
