DH's work is doing a photoshoot for a medical company and they are looking for people (babies, toddlers, children,teenagers, mums, dads, grandmas/pas)

You will get paid £40 per adult and £25 per child and travelling expenses. The shoot is in Bishops Stortford Nr Stanstead. Not sure of dates yet though, will either be in the next couple of weeks or at the end of August.
They need to know a list of people that are interested by tomorrow though.

I had a response - saying we will not be needed. This only came after I sent another email asking for details. I am really disapointed about this and think it could have been handled much better - poppiesinaline dont worry I dont blame you becuase I understand it isnt actually your job but we've all been looking forward to this and setting the day aside for it - and the least that could have been done would be for us to be notified we werent needed. Instead we have had to chase and chase for getting that information.

I do wonder if they have come up against legal difficulties. Babies and chidlren taking part in modelling shoots such as this, no matter how informal, have to have a licence from the LEA to allow them to take part.

This involved filling in a form with passport photo and sending off ID. The company organising this should be aware of these restrictions on using children, from my posts it sounds as though they were not.

Sorry you are all dispointed but I did have concerns that regulations were going to be flouted.

All I can say, is HUGE HUGE apologies EVERYONE.

If anyone reads this thread and knows of people who were let down by this, please let them know.

Unfortunately, DH and I were on holiday when it was all meant to happen. When we got back, DH went into work and discovered that the whole thing had completely fallen apart. The woman in his office (the email address I gave people) was completely incompetent and basically cocked up the whole thing. DH wasnt there to put things straight and the whole thing fell apart. He was very annoyed. As was I.

I did email the lady concerned and told her how disappointed I was in her ability to handle such a straight forward thing as arranging a photo - crikey... I don't even work in the field and even I would be able to do it.... (which tbh, I would have taken over if we had not been away). I also told her how much she had showed me up.

Unfortunately, by the time I realised that the shoot had not gone ahead I had deleted all your email addresses (thought I would honour all your privacies).

I have stumbled across this just now and just feel awful. But it was truely down to this one lady's incompetence and nothing else.
