Esp those who have moved from Britain to live abroad. I'd like to know what made you decide to go? How did you do it? How old were your children? What was the hardest thing and do you have any regrets?

No problem Rhubarb.... now I have to go and do some ironing (I am a domestic goddess in disguise)

I've sent you an email in French, I hope the grammar's right, that's my weak spot!

alibubbles, coddy has a friend in Paris whose wife has just had twins - she had a thread about them - can't find it though! The mum is Japanese and there were family staying when the babies were born but maybe by the time your DD goes they'll need some help?

I'm not sure who coddy is posting as today - she was codandchips yesterday I think - maybe you should start a thread for her!

Rhubarb, I will be emailing you shortly (NOT in French!)

rhubarb, we moved from Uk to Switzerland a few years ago. I am am really glad we got, and took the opportunity. Quality of life, in fact everything so much better. Don't really want to go into too much detail now, but you can mail if you want. Good luck - I remember you feeling the need to up & off for a long time.

frenchgirl. thanks for that.

Janh, DD did Japanese for a year at school, I'll have to look out hte thread. thanks!

alibubbles, coddy showed up this morning - I don't know what she was up to yesterday, couldn't find her at all, she didn't ask permission to be absent - so I have told her about your DD, maybe if you contact her or start a new thread you can find out more.

The Japanese bit is an incredible coincidence!

Me, work, stressfully. Children got v upset and unsettled and don't seem to have any sense of "where they are from". Not from here, but are they British? Born there, yes, have British passports, but have only lived there for three months. We will be moving to UK in 2-3 years, DD1 (5) doesn't want to go...neither do I, I like it here

Rhubarb, didn't you get my mail? What's happening?
