I can't quite believe it yet... we've had good news

Dear all,

I feel totally stunned today. I phoned the consultant to ask about the report from the radiologist, and she told me that the radiologist found no abnormalities on the x-rays!
Which obviously is FANTASTIC news... but I don't dare believe them yet! I fear he made a mistake, or overlooked something, or looked for the wrong thing. Don't know whehter to ask for a copy of the report, or even a copy of the x-rays. It just seems waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too good to be true! Esp. in light of all the going-ons last week with the pneumonia and the oxygen-dependence...

I just don't know what to think now!!!

Oh... it's late... I meant , of course...

emkana · 30/06/2006 08:43

Thank you for all your lovely messages.

I still feel that I can't believe it yet. I feel that if I believe it then in a few weeks or so they will turn around and they "Oooh, sorry, there is that after all"

The thing is I keep looking at him and his chest does look small... and he's breathing fast...
and the worry is still there.

great news I am sure your gp would get a copy of the report for your records as a matter of course BUT just call and ask your consultant for a copy to be prepared for you to pick up at your next appt.

noddyholder · 30/06/2006 09:38

That is great news xx Do you think your dh's bosses would give him another week considering what you have been through so that you can have a bit of time together to take this in?I hope he can

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/06/2006 09:44

Oooh OMG FANTASTIC news!

am so so pleased for you.....

JanH · 30/06/2006 09:53

After what you've been through with Sebastian so far, before and after birth, I'm not at all surprised you're not convinced yet and that you are still worrying about him - but this is brilliant news, emkana

(In your position I would definitely want a 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinion!)

geekgrrl · 30/06/2006 09:56

oh emkana, that's fabulous to hear!

I do understand you still worrying though - after all these months of people telling you that there are terrible things wrong with him, it's going to take you a long time to adjust.

I hope so much that they're right and pneumonia was just a fluke.

Furball · 30/06/2006 10:02

I assume that if you have got hair thats not already been ripped out with worry then it must have gone grey!

This is fantastic news! Ok, so you can't quite believe it yet but bloody hell what a roller coaster ride you and your family have been on.
