What is it with the kids and mess and frantic cleaning?

My house is hoovered every day at the moment.

It must be cheaperwhen they are at school
less cleaning product and elec used

LOL survivor; well it's Friday and I suppose I had just better get on with it regardless. The thought of it though makes me think having your boys might have been a good swap - DD would have prefered it

I have decided it's unfair not to devote myself 100% to dds during half term, thereby totally justifying the syphillitic state of our house .....

Hulababy · 20/02/2004 08:38

But we have friends coming to stay for the whole weekend and I have already been out every other day and neglecting the house! I have to wash the living area/hall floor and sweep it, hoover the 2 bedrooms, clean the 2 bathroom floors, clean the bathrooms, clean kitchen, tidy up, move DD's bed into my room and get blow up ready in DD's room, empty dishwasher, do ironing (may have to wait), and ought to think about cleaning inside of windows at least in the living area.

Hulababy · 20/02/2004 08:38

Oh, and I have to prepare food for today and tomorrow as well.

carla · 20/02/2004 08:42

Leave the windows. Repeat after me: LEAVE THE WINDOWS!

Hulababy · 20/02/2004 08:43

Okay, Carla - you have convinced me; windows can be left - didn't take much persuading to be honest

LadyCodworth · 20/02/2004 09:13

LOL Ladycodsworth!

Starting to wish I had a cleaner now. As quick as I tidy something away, DD has something else out to play with!!!

LadyCodworth · 20/02/2004 09:34

It gets better when they hit 3 IMO =- they actually play for longer than 5 mins.

You dont get that urge to leave the building allt he time

OP posts:
carla · 20/02/2004 09:42

But when they hit 3 they can shout Mummeeeeeeeeeeee!! every 5 mins instead!

Hulababy · 20/02/2004 09:44

DD is really good at playing by herself but just keeps getting the darn toys out!!! Might out her int he bath for a splash whilst I clean bathroom, fasten her in highchair to colour whilst I do living area.... oh, and get my dad to come and take her out for a while this afternoon
