WHY are all little girls shoes vomit pink?

Fillyjonk · 11/06/2006 07:28

Fillygirl needs walkin' shoes.

Am I missing something, or is it impossible to buy girls shoes in not-pink? Or mauve, if the designers are feeling risky.

And so much WHITE! Its so impractical.

Maybe I'll just buy her boys shoes. The assistant seemed utterly and completely shocked at such an idea though, like i was going to feed her chocolate or something Shock

\link{http://www.greenshoes.co.uk/index.php?f=shop&p=product&id=33&c=women&t=1&start=0\these} though I know I will be mocked.

Hmmmm...it does occur to me that daisy roots could help me out of this dilemma.

FillyjonktheFluffy · 11/06/2006 23:09

Not mine, gillian Wink

HarpsichordCarrier · 11/06/2006 23:10

HarpsichordCarrier · 11/06/2006 23:13

nope, boots horrible. Sorry.

FillyjonktheFluffy · 11/06/2006 23:13

its the kind of thing I could probably justify in time with reference to overseas sweatshops.

FillyjonktheFluffy · 11/06/2006 23:14

nah, I like them, I can't stand boots normally, so mumsy.

HarpsichordCarrier · 11/06/2006 23:15

I have a knitted uterus fillyjonk Grin in a lovely pink colour.
PRomise me you won't wear those shoes with socks though Shock as recommended on that site....

FillyjonktheFluffy · 11/06/2006 23:18

oh dear, yes, that would be unfortunate...

although...maybe some nice, variagated, hand knitted socks...

no, it cannot be done, it would be wrong, so wrong.

I'll be able to hide my socks in my boots anyway.

HarpsichordCarrier · 11/06/2006 23:21

my friend used to turn up at my house in sandals with socks all through the winter Shock
I took to zapping her with a cattle prod whenever she did it. It was for her own good. I mean what if someone had seen us together Shock
PS why are you fluffy FJ?

FillyjonktheFluffy · 11/06/2006 23:22

because I am lovely and kind and give people hugs

HarpsichordCarrier · 11/06/2006 23:24

ooops sorry about that
this afternoon dd1 came out of the paddling pool stark naked and hugged a tree Shock
I thought of you immediately Grin

jamese · 12/06/2006 18:03

I also insisted that my DD would NEVER wear pink.

Now she is 2.5 and often in pink, it gets you gradually so beware.....

I am often reminded by friends when they see DD in anything pink, but I quite like it now - although NOT BARBY PINK.....

Shoes, she has never had pink shoes.
She always have clarkes one and has had blue, black, lilac and white.

Some of the doodles ones are nice. exp for the price.

imaginaryfriend · 12/06/2006 18:27

It's annoying. My dd HATES pinnk!

sunnydelight · 12/06/2006 18:53

Girl after two boys ... we're doing pink BIG TIME Grin

Blondilocks · 12/06/2006 18:56

I think boys and girls are supposed to have different shaped feet.

Where are the heels on the shoes on that site? The willow shoe looks ok, but not so keen on the others. Out of interest, what do they make them out of?

How long do the shoes last for?

FillyjonktheFluffy · 12/06/2006 21:50

lol at blondetastic.

fennel · 15/06/2006 11:02

boys and girls do NOT have different shaped feet. some children have fat feet, some thin feet. my girls all have G/H fittings. not very girly at all.

my girls actually choose boys sandals sometimes, my dds are not big fans of pink. and noone comments on it at school, apparently.

you can get nice flowerly and variously patterned dm boots for girls, my sister is very fond of buying them for my dds. for a tough but girly 70's retro look.

FillyjonktheFluffy · 15/06/2006 11:04

ooooh dms, wtf did i not think of them for my flower-mad ds? He'd love them!
