Apart from George Clooney (who I am currently shagging).

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2006 17:15

have karl marx and brian Rix been dismissed yet?

LeahE · 08/06/2006 17:16

zippi, you had me at "programme" (to misquote Jerry Maguire)

ruty · 08/06/2006 17:45

who won that great british menu for the queen thing anyway? [sorry to digress]

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2006 17:48

I think all the courses were different chefs..it was fish and oxtail, slamon, custard tart and something else venison I think

DumbledoresGirl · 08/06/2006 18:22

Nick Nairn won one course and that man who is a protege of Gordon Ramsey (I have forgotten his name - Marcus Someone) won the dessert course. I can't remember the others.

notanotter · 08/06/2006 21:12

I have been sick several times already STOP mentioning the white wobbling fount of all inane knowledge that calls itself stephen fry.....

suejonez · 08/06/2006 22:47

How about Alan Davies?

Rowlers · 08/06/2006 22:48

Bart Simspon?

LeahE · 08/06/2006 23:29

spacedonkey, Tinker, motherbeing and plummymummy all vetoed Alan Davies.

Hmm... so far certain publications will have a field day reporting that UK mums reckon the most generally admirable figure is Karl Marx Smile

nannyme · 08/06/2006 23:34

Can someone give me a reason why NOT louis theroux so that I can stop loving him? Grin

hunkermunker · 08/06/2006 23:43

Maggie Simpson (to continue the Bart theme Grin)

LadySherlockofLGJ · 08/06/2006 23:45

Ah Hunker the very person, that recipe was lush, anymore ??

LeahE · 08/06/2006 23:46

Louis Theroux's brother is supposed to be more lovely than him. (hmm... does that count as a reason?)

ruty · 09/06/2006 10:12

Is LT that really irritating bloke who did a 'at home with' Jimmy Savill etc? Can't stand him.

Blu · 09/06/2006 10:16

Benjamin Zephaniah!

Unles Helsy can come up with some plausible reason for being wound up by him, he should stay on the list!
talented, principled, charismatic, personable, contributes...
Let's not have a vacuous tv presenter, please please please?

zippitippitoes · 09/06/2006 10:19

yes I agree with Blu

YohoAhoy · 09/06/2006 11:46

John Nettles is no way Terry & June-ish. Fie on whoever said that.

I bet he's really radical in his own way Grin

tiredemma · 09/06/2006 12:02

Blu- plus he is a brummie- so he gets my vote!

monkeytrousers · 09/06/2006 12:41

Whatsisface? Dr Who. Mind you, I think he's a gurning idiot.

ruty · 09/06/2006 12:45

so..you like him MT? Grin

niceglasses · 09/06/2006 12:46

Ben Zeph is a good un.......on the same lines Seamus Heaney?? Always seems so nice.......

I think we are going to have to draw up a shortlist and then vote or else we'll be here till Doomsday.......

Don't know why I'm taking this so seriously...bored p'rhaps.

suejonez · 09/06/2006 12:59

or ALan Davies?

zippitippitoes · 09/06/2006 13:01

I would vote Brian Rix and karl marx over Alan Davies Smile

niceglasses · 09/06/2006 13:18

Brian Rix is a bizzare choice I have to say. I don't even think many pple of mine or younger generation would even know him apart from that song a few years ago something about his trousers falling down. oooh wait though he does lots of charity work doesn't he???

Don't mean to be rude Zippi, just thinking out load really.........

(Funnily enough is my maiden name, not too common really, no relation though)
