ahh my earlier post applies then Grin

satine · 08/06/2006 10:34

Soory, but I have to disagree about Mo Mowlam. She was a manipulative, conniving politician who was great at telling people what they wanted to hear. She had everyone believing that her kissy kissy swearing approach in Northern Ireland was the best thing ever but actually she was rather a liability.

helsy · 08/06/2006 10:42

Dawn French?

Patttsy · 08/06/2006 10:52

Yes, Kirsty from Location.

She's nice

hunkermunker · 08/06/2006 10:54

I don't like anyone famous, so this thread will never achieve its goal.

mwahahahahaha

hunkermunker · 08/06/2006 10:54

Oh, LOATHE Dawn French. Utterly loathe.

LeahE · 08/06/2006 10:54

Please tell me you weren't seriously suggesting Tom Cruise?

hunkermunker · 08/06/2006 10:55

I just wondered that, Leah - am now reading the thread Grin

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2006 11:04

quite interesting how we use the word famous..when I was little and there were books about famous people none of these would have qualified!

You had to do something impressive not be a blue peter presenter or sit on a sofa

theshrimp · 08/06/2006 11:05

Wayne Hemingway. he's cool and clever and his house would be fascinating to pop in for a cup of tea.

hunkermunker · 08/06/2006 11:13

Yes, ZTT! We don't have decent people to look up to these days!

zippitippitoes · 08/06/2006 11:28

Wayne hemingway is a bit low key isn't he? Unless you are an arty type? Grin

Ellen McArthur?

Brian Rix?

Benjamin Zephaniah?

southeastastra · 08/06/2006 11:33

gail porter - shes so normal and looks great, also not at all irritating, unlike yvette fielding

SleepyJess · 08/06/2006 11:34

Justin Fletcher (Mr Tumble) Grin (Phwoorrrgghhh!) Grin

SleepyJess · 08/06/2006 11:35

Not Ellen McArthur.. I think she rocks.. but loads of Mumsnetters got really nasty about her when I was singing her praises once!! Shock

southeastastra · 08/06/2006 11:38

ellen mcarthur reminds me of dead ringers, on the same track, paul whitehouse?

Patttsy · 08/06/2006 12:04

Kirsty from Location

Beetroot · 08/06/2006 12:06

Is it only Lillibet that hates Judi!!!

southeastastra · 08/06/2006 12:07

judi dench? she always looks like shes sucking a lemon

spacedonkey · 08/06/2006 12:37

can't bear kirsty

plummymummy · 08/06/2006 12:37

Mo Mowlam manipulative? I don't think so. I'm not exactly pro politicians but I think she was one of the most honest ones British Politics will ever know. She was notoriously outspoken but imo not a liability like Clare Short.

monkeytrousers · 08/06/2006 12:48

ggglimpopo, did you heard of Babs Bush's mermaid speech?

monkeytrousers · 08/06/2006 12:48

have you I mean..

lilibet · 08/06/2006 12:55

No, not jsut me Beety, a few others have agreed with me Grin

I'm for Stephen Fry - no one has veto'd him yet.

Or Hugh Laurie

Or if we want a woman what about Anna Ford, excellent woman!

motherbeing · 08/06/2006 13:23

i like the ben zeph suggestion - he's gorgeous, funny, capable of inspiring teenagers... and he refused to be knighted!
