Punctuation queens - need advice please!

My boring report has sent me doolally.

Describing The Judges' Entrance - as in several judges use the entrance - have I done it right?

Or is is Judge's - but does that mean only one?

Or just judges?

My secondary school English teacher had a list of "overworked words" and would scrawl OWW across any of them we used. Nice was one of them.

Sometimes it's exactly the word you want though...

I had a teacher who hated people asking "CAn I do...." Had to ask "May I...."

Mine didn't let use "get". Why?

Get was another. I still feel wrong when I use it!

I'm afraid I'm from that school. I insist my daughter says " May I" instead of "can I". Unfortunately, my dh uses can, and now she's correcting him! He's not impressed.

Sorry I thought I was being funny, implying we had to come from another planet to teach. I loved teaching too - will go back to it when all kids at fulltime school no doubt. If I've got any brain cells left!!
