Describing The Judges' Entrance - as in several judges use the entrance - have I done it right?

Or is is Judge's - but does that mean only one?

Or just judges?

At the risk of boring everyone to tears, I'd say you could argue the case for either judge's or judges'

As you say the entrance is for the judges (plural) so judges' entrance would be correct. However, since only one judge uses the entrance at a time, I'd also say that judge's is correct (in the same way that, when showing someone around the courtroom, you might say "the judge sits there" rather than "the judges sit there" ).

As judge's looks nicer, I'd use that. Unless you get gangs of judges loitering around the entrance, that is.

Agree with beetroot - really depends on how big the door is, is it wide enough to allow than more than one judge to pass through simultaneously ?

You could have two little pictures to make it absolutely clear - the little person with the wig could have a big tick next to it and the little figure holding a bag with "SWAG" on it could have a big cross over it.

Actually you'd need more little figures with crosses on...ethnic minorities, women, people who didn't go to Public school, anyone who isn't a doddery old fart.....

Just popping in for one second have to go to airport--you guys slay me!! I have to go with Judges' myself. I loved the quantum anomaly too! I am sure that Janeway would have appreciated that...However, two judges trying to get in the door at the same time....Judgemental I would think, although gang bang was excellent too.
