Do you have your groceries delivered? If not, why not?

I've done this a few times in the past, but I've just started getting them delivered regularly once a week and I love it.

If the service is available in your area, do you do it? If not, why?

I'm too mean to pay the delivery charge. I always look for reduced to clear stuff in the shops which you won't get online. I don't ever take carrier bags in shops and don't want my delivery delivered in 1,00 bags. I know you can hand the bags back, but better not to use them in the first place. And finally, I don't get all my groceries in the supermarket as I use the local butcher, farm shop, market etc. I LIKE going to the shops and DS has a great time too.

Well, you did ask!! Wink

I buy from local shops as far as possible. But even if I wanted to, no-one would deliver as we live too far away.

Infact just had a call from Sainsburys delivery a minute ago. He is running very early and can he deliver to us in 10 minutes - wasn't due until 7-8pm slot. LOL!

We're on an economy drive and have just switched back to Tesco from Ocado - and don't I know it! It's cheaper without a doubt but the meat, fruit and veg is dire and goes off within minutes. Still better than darkening the doors of the supermarket in person though!

Did it a few times with Tesco but got fed up with food on their sell by dates and large packets replaced with small packets.

bluejelly, perhaps we're spiritual twins or something...Grin

Sainsburys list anything with a low sell by date on same sheet as any subs. So you know straight away and can choose to reject item on delivery. Only had a low sell by once - today. That was salmon - but was going straight into freezer anyway.

yes - don't know why I didn't do it sooner.

always lots of codes about and I've never paid a delivery charge yet!

I have a few times, but Asda is open 24 hrs and sometimes I'd rather escape - even to Asda - of an evening just to get outta here minus the kidsBlush
