nutcracker · 23/01/2004 16:47

Don't think I have the guts. I'm so weak. Hey a school reunion that would be good I don't think he would go though, he hasn't even put a profile on FR.

Tiredemma - Did you say you worked at Thomas Cook ??? I have just enquired about part time work at the Thomas Cook in Sutton. I had to fill a form in stating what hours i could work. There was a question asking if i'd got any experiance though, which i haven't so ... Anyway they said that if they are interested they will send me an application form. I asked the girl if they only usually take on experianced people ande she said no not all the time. I really fancy it. I said that the only days i couldn't work was tuesdays and thursdays, but that i'd be willing to do weekends and bank holidays and mon, wed, thursday.
Will have to wait and see

if you get no joy nutty, ill ask at my place if you like, i only work set hours (part time) they are very flexible plus the staff benefits are great , especially if you have a family. ( get as many £75 last minute holidays as you like ie £75 each family member partner, kids etc anywhere short haul detination)
where i work is the thomas cook call centre in city centre, you get more money in the call centre as you get more calls = more commision!

i had travel experience cuz of working for airtours and thomson overseas but loads of people at my office had no exp- most of the women are mums just doing p/t hours.
let me know how you get on with sutton.

nutcracker · 25/01/2004 13:58

Cheers Emma. I did apply to the call centre once but then didn't go to the interview because I don't drive and didn't fancy having to get back from town on my own of a night. I really want to do Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and possibly sundays. I could only do about 10-2 in the week though.
The Sutton one would be ideal for me really, but i think they'll want experianced people. I haven't worked for the last 6 years and that was cleaning rooms in a hotel.
I treid Going Places (i think) but they wanted 2yrs experiance.
I'll let you know how i get on anyway.

Just to let you know, i did try doing a search on his name, tried directory enquiries e.t.c, but no joy. I just about managed to stop myself paying people tracer to find him. It was 25 pounds to fill in the form and get them to look and then 100 if they found him for me to read info.
I have been on friends reunited and emailed him again, stressing that i'm not about to start stalking him or anything but that i just would like to know he is still alive and happy.
Do you think i'm sad ???
