well, yesterday night I have finally become an auntie as my sil gave birth to a darling baby boy! Shame I can't go and see him as I have a terrible cold, but db is sending me lots of pics!

I am getting over minirosas cold from last week. She was fine and now has a febbre with nothing else( or so it seems at the mo). She diddn't have febbre with the cold so maybe its a delayed reaction! I really don't want a febbre as domani dh is back at work probably super full time and it can't happen!!,
Will have a look at the language thread ... Right off to get dd1 its catteismo sta sera, last week I got muttered at for not taking her to church on a Sunday .. My reply I took her to my church in the Uk ( wanted to add and minirosa and it was a welcoming family experience) not like over here!

Oh I will have a browse then Rosa, because also dh's brother and his wife will soon have twin girls!!! I have already gone mad in the Petit Bateau sales, but it's lovely shopping for baby clothes!

Oh catechismo, mine aren't attending it, and I agree anglican messe are much better and lovelier. Ds loved it when he was at school in the uk.

Absolutely chucking it down here this morning. Metro has been closed in places due to flood fears, dp got the last one this morn. DS stressing that calcietto will be cancelled tomorrow. Magari! Spent last Sat pm watching him in a tournament at it was freezing! First time I can remember in Italy having numb feet from the cold. Currently he has one session once a week, soon to go to 2 if he gets a good pagella..., then we have the kidscup tournaments at the weekend and now he has been convocato to another tournament organised by regione lazio that is every fortnight. Plus we have serie a games on TV constantly and when we dont it is Fifa on the X-box!!!! I like football but if wasnt so old would be thinking I need a daughter!!!!!

Oh and does anyone have any idea why football coaches in Italy are called "Mister" (or "Meeeeeeesterrrr").

Sould be tipping here but its not ..( .so far )was heavy last night. Sirens for aqua alta every 12 hrs . Minirosa has kicked the febbre I think now as starting to show signs of cabin fever .
Gio it sounds as if you have footy mania down there and he is only 7 ..think how many years more you have of this !!!!! Its Frozen mania here but I know that will alter when the next film or cartoon comes out.

What a dh - forecast was rain but ok so it wasn't this morning so he diddn't take an umbrella. So he got wet and to top it all the aqua alta was higher than forecast so it splashed over the top of his boots!!! I am not going anywhere right now thank you !

Football mania... ehm, yes, ds started when he was roughly mastergio's age. He plays football twice a week and when the weather is better he goes to play with his friends at the oratorio as soon as he is finished his homework. They tend to get a bit boring indeed

Still the cold, feeling weak, head spins around every time I move. Ds the same, plus heavy headaches.

Sounds nasty and its been dragging on a bit now. Dizzy spells are horrible as you can't just take a ibruprofen and they go! The weather won't help either!
They thankfully got the predictions wrong and the water only came to 115 last night night . This morning 125 and its raining so we won't be going anywhere. Dd1 has delevoped a fear of the sirens and goes into a panic when they go off - she is 8 so we have tried logical explanations etc but last night she stayed awake terrified as she knew they would go off. Note we live on a high floor but she doesn't seem bothered about that its the noise ????
Gio all ok with you as its looks bad in Rome ? Anzi it looks pretty bad in quite a few places today and its going to rain more...

My favourite brother is coming back to Scotland to visit tomorrow, I am so excited!

It's fab isn't it Annunziata, she has some lovely stuff. Wish she had the shop going when I had ds.
We are ok Rosa, we live at the top of a hill and so have just had the water gushing down the road at top speed. Lots of huge holes opening up everywhere though. Problem with Rome is it's not solid beneath us as so much of ancient Rome is still below....I am soooo fed up with the rain though. Fed up of not being able to go out, ds is climbing the walls. I want spring!
I can imagine the sirens must be a bit scary for little ones Rosa.

All this talk of babies is making me feel broody again! My H would love another one, and so far it's been me saying I don't feel ready.

How many brothers have you got, Annunziata?? You make it sound like there's a whole tribe of you! Enjoy your time with your brother.

We are heading off to Thessaloniki this week (about 3.5 hrs drive away), to take ds2 to see a specialist. I am a little nervous about it all. Something tells me ds2 will be terrified and scream the place down! But considering the area he works in, the doctor (and the rest if the staff!) must be used to children with special needs and their reactions. Anyway, just hoping to come back full of positive news about how helpful it has been!

Well just for a change its raining. I have been up and down the ladder today bringing down the xmas boxes as to decant them into one big Kenwood chef box. Me thinking it would actually make sense - 2 small boxes and a bag vs 1 big box. Made no bloody difference at all. It was still a pain getting everything back up there and crammed into the small space ! Needless dh came back in as I finished and wondered why I looked flustered I had gone up and down the step ladder about 50 times

I am feeling a bit better, if only a bit knackered, thank you. Ds is still under the weather, so tomorrow I am going to ring the paediatrician in the hope that she'll give us an appointment some time soon.

Tomorrow I am hopefully going to meet my nephew, I will report back wether I got broody or not. I don't feel broody anymore, I have to say. In general, eh. He is totally gorgeous, he might do the trick

Dd played in her first basket ball match yesterday. It should have been at 5.30 but everything was delayed and they started at 6.45 and then they did 2 matches we got home at 9.15 . One they lost but one they won . Annnd they are in top place in the league table . ( as they got the biggest difference in shots). However it will not last as in the next round they are playing some really good teams . It did wonders for her morale even if she played like a looney and was actually crap ! She wan't the only one and the wonderful coach made sure that everybody had a play ! I hope her enthusiasm lasts !

I am really fed up with the rain, it's worse than in the UK . I have a terrible headache, and I am sure it's caused by the weather and having waited in the rain and cold for dd to come out of school. Grrr.

Dh has gone to Paris, as he is working there for 2 weeks. So, it's me and the children. In the rain .

Mind you don't think the weather is better in paris ( you should try a weekend there maybe just to join hime ) !!! Just had an sms that its aqua alta tonight right when I come out of the gym!
Went to disney and got dd a Violetta bag the €3 one when you spend €20 and some stickers ( she has never seen an episode but all her friends go on about it!!) As she made an effort and tried !!! Minirosa has a F rozen beach towel but that will appear piu avanti . I had a buono for 20% that was expiring today.
