sorry just looked down and you are with bk, sorry about that, no worries

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:28

izzy, where did you look up the times for the trains? brilliant info but I can never find it out?

thanks

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:29

because im worried about all whats been said etc about them,, i am not leaving them just wanting to find out the best option for my son, i rushed into bk, and have been v happy with them so far but think i should look into every option if that makes any sort of sense,, do not get me wrong bk have been great with the first castings emails and also changes to his webpage i could not fault them, i am also a little concern re the nu mber of babies they have on there books, as to whether my son will get a look in in future,,

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:29

how many have they got on thier books?

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:31

i do not know that info personally one lady posted on here and i think she said 300 under 2 or three do not quote me on that ,,,

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:31

mimi >> I know for sure that they have 300 kids on their books in total but they don't get kids with similar looks in the same age group so there's minimal internal competition.

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:33

theyve got a password on their site, so unless she works for them how would she know.

I wouldnt listen to other peoples views in my opinion. If youve had a casting, happy with them and it sounds like you really are, then what are you listening to strangers for?

just wondered

I'm happy with my agency and not matter what i read< iwoulld always go with my own experiences

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:33

BK has around 800 kids on their books in total!

mythumbelinas · 06/04/2006 21:33

izzy - thanks very much for checking it out, but it's not norwich station i need to get to. Sheringham is the nearest (i called) and it's still over 6 miles away from the location, so will need to take taxi after.
mimi, i have no idea how many babies they have. I can only guess that there are about 250 boys and girls and another couple of hundred teenagers .. that's what it roughly seemed like when i had a look thru their model book.

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:33

how do you know that izzy? havent they got a password on their site.

I am with ES and they have more than that and we get work

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:34

fanny5 >> has your dd had a lot of work or castings since she joined the agency?

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:34

surely with 300 u r going to get similar looks though?? truely scrumptious have 350 on there books in total!!! (OR SOMETHING like that)

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:36

i had a few jobs before xmas, went quiet then casting this side of xmas and then picked up again

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:36

just because i am so new to all this!! and very unsure!...

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:36

Fanny5 >> I'm working on a child modelling project and I had this information from the agencies sent to me this morning!

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:38

im just here for advice, and i will tke on board what i think is important and reject the rest,, just do not want a wasted oppurtunity!! hope i make sense ramnling on,,,

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:38

Not sure about Truly Scrumptious... I know IK has only 90 kids or something, CK has around 100, AK has around 200, Scallywags has more than 1000!

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:40

mimi >> when you think 0-3 year olds, girls and boys, all different colours, hair colour, eyes, dimples and things that isnt a lot really I suppose? i work it out at 36 months x 2 (girls and boys) = 72. Then 72 white, 72 black, 72 oriental, 72 asian........that works out at if an agency had 1 boy and girl of each month age from 0-36 months old, then they would need to have 288 kids on thier books. Thats not included mixed race, spanish etc etc. Then you have to consider they most likely need to have a few of EACH on thier books so times that number by three maybe

i worked that out when i was talking to my mate about that a few days ago when i read about how many kids agencies have on thier books

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:42

think it said it on there new website i was looking last night!!,,
mythumbelinas do u know what it is to go into the model book,???

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:43

mimi >> we went with BK without thinking, after about 9 months with them and no castings or jobs I decided to look up and found this website, applied to basically all agencies you can think of! At first we went with AK and had a couple of castings but no jobs, wasn't sure if we wanted to go with Bruce & Brown or IK but just as we were supposed to go see B&B again we had a call from IK and had a job, it was fate! We're very happy with the agencies that we're with now but it took a while to get to this stage!
When I talked to photographers, casting directors etc. the most recommended agency was Kids London and that's why I wanted my dd to go with them so badly but they said no, snif snif snif!

fanny5 · 06/04/2006 21:44

izzy > is it for a college course or something

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:45

Only over 2's go to the model book, you wouldn't have to worry about that for a while!

mimi1uk · 06/04/2006 21:46

yeah i guess ur right i just thinking along the lines of if a modelling agency gets asked to present there babies for an product say pampers, and they use one agency,,, and they get 10 babies put forwards from say kl and if bk puts 50 forwards who would he have more chance with, i know some use just one agency and some is
use two or three,,,

mythumbelinas · 06/04/2006 21:46

yep mimi, advice is for the taking :)

izzyrubi · 06/04/2006 21:46

Fanny5 >> No, for a website! I wanted to e-mail you and ask something, if you don't mind, e-mail me at [email protected] when you have a minute and I'll tell you details of it, if you can, obviously! You don't have to!
